Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 26 Jan 2021, 06:22

Good morning.

Another warm sunny day....ridiculously so.

Our town is joining legions of others in Spain and going into lockdown again.

As of midnight tonight all bars, restaurants and non essential shops will be closed. (As opposed to them closing at 6pm.)

All our classes from this morning will be online....so I'm setting up zoom as soon as I've finished typing this.

At least we can still get out for exercise so I can still go for my beloved walks and runs.

Who would have thought almost a year later...... :?

Have a great day.

How's E doing Osc? Hope he had a decent night. xx

Morning Ally, morning all

I know Ally - it's hard to believe that it's nearly a year that this madness kicked off. Have they given an indication how long your lock down is due to last? Big debates here in the UK are when the schools are due to go back. Some are saying to reopen after February holidays and others are calling for them to remain closed because they are a hotspot of infection (as much as others say they aren't). It's all so confusing and no-one knows.

Dull and grey today; still got snow on the ground but think it will thaw by the end of today as we're expecting rain and slightly warmer weather. I have to go to Sainsbury's at some point this morning - they didn't delivery everything my neighbour had down on her shopping list on Sunday so she's short a few vital bits and I need to get stuff for myself as well. And then to the chemist on the way home for said neighbour. She'd usually walk there but the pavements are still a tad icy in places and she doesn't feel safe walking there and back.

The usual work to be done as well as per usual

Have a lovely day all and as always stay safe xx

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Another wet but mild morning. No point in getting up, so stayed in bed, with a coffee and had a read 8-)

Was chatting to our nice neighbours yesterday and they said it was almost a year since they'd left and gone back to Canada  And can't wait to get back here. Rita has family here and misses them like mad. Our lockdown continues until the end of the month, but will, no doubt, be extended. It's working though, the figures were half yesterday on what they have been.

Will pop down to Jan's (not supposed to be out, but I hate owing money) later. Don't think they'll be out on their bikes in this weather

Hope E had a good night and he's back home with you today Osc :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning campers.
Grey and cold here today. Absolutely nothing planned that I'm aware of. MrsC and I will have to stay in the house, staring at each other like a pair of cats!
Lockdown is a pain for sure Ally; hopefully yours won't be for long. Ria, I really want us to get back to normal, especially for the children's sake. Their life should be joyful and they should be having proms, parties, meeting their friends - I hope we can get out of this mess soon. There must be a lot of people in the same fix as your neighbours Jan.
Well toodle pip, have a good day all.

Afternoon all, it’s dull and damp here. Edward is home since 11.30, sore but otherwise ok. I think he enjoyed his night away - as Miss Osc said, a night away under any circumstances is good at the moment, especially when the health insurance is paying! We’re just taking it easy for the rest of the day.

Morning all :D

Dull and grey here.

Glad to hear Edward's home Osc.

Planning to give E's hair a good scissor cut again today. Expect he'll moan all the time I'm doing it, but he has been happy with my previous attempt so fingers crossed.......

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe and warm xx

Good afternoon everybody.

This morning the pavement was like an ice rink. You could not see the ice. So I drove to get the paper. Was not going to risk faling trying o walk down either on the pavement or
road. Have donw soe washing and have started the iroing. Relaxing for an hour before I finish it.

Grey skies and it is trying to rain.
Osc, glad to hear E is doing well.
Have a good day everybody.

Glad Edward is home Osc :Hi:

Well, no rain, so I've spent the last few hours dead heading all the plants that were attacked by the frost. Rather a large bag full  :cute: Amazing how quickly they are recovering though :Hi: :Hi: One is even flowering :D :D Grumpy has been working on the veg garden, he's rather muddy
