Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 01 Feb 2021, 07:01

Morning everyone

Dark, but mild and no rain :Hi:

The stray cat that comes around every now and then is back :cute: woke me up with it's howling  Molly out, making friends

Hopefully get the washing done this morning and the ironing pile is still waiting, so that's tomorrow's job. Today I will just pootle 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, everyone.

Another deep frost here with cloudless skies and an 85% full moon still clear as a bell high in the sky - hardly a breeze about. According to the weather site we will not get out of sub zero temps till about 11am and even then it will feel like -4 °C!

Prescription to pick up this morning but not much else planned. Cruiser mentioned the other day about clearing out old files so that might give me something to do.

I quite fancy a hearty beef stew and dumplings for tea so the slow cooker will be on the go for most of the day. :D

Stay safe and do stay warm.

Morning all

Ooooh Jan - a new cat :D :D :D :D :D As for ironing, I think that's a totally overrated exercise
Gosh Frank, that is cold; beef stew and dumplings sounds just the thing. I made pulled beef the other day and as I was packing away the slow cooker I also thought about making a beef stew next. But this morning the idea of a good chunky chicken soup came to mind so will probably do that first. Need to go shopping for the ingredients first though so may well change my mind by the time I get to the shops
Ally, every so often I watch Escape to the Sun and when I read your posts and your temperatures; I'm sorely tempted to move to Spain :D A small home with a garden to grow things in and a pool - I'd be in heaven
Cruiser, hope you get everything done you want to as well

Well another usual / usual for me; work mixed with home pootling. Tomorrow I'm thinking of heading to the office; I'll drive in so will be totally safe given no-one will be there. But there will be just sooooo much post piling up that needs to go out for recycling. Our building security has been a super star and has been posting most of what looks to be important, but I'm certain there will be bits that he's missed. And I haven't been there since beginning December; so it's 2 months!

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, I’m creeping around today. There’s currently a ‘meeting’ of four engineers taking place in the office and 30 13 year olds are having a history lesson in my kitchen  The wonders of technology!

No idea what plans I can have today, they’ll be quiet ones anyway

Happy 21st birthday to Harry, and a hug for Kaz xx

Frank, it’s chicken casserole here tonight but 20 minutes cooking time in the Instant Pot will do it very nicely.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s a bit brighter this morning after the misery of the last few days - I feel brighter too after the first unbroken night of sleep in almost a week, waking up and not getting back to sleep for maybe an hour or even more is very tiring. On my list for today “make soup, trim fringe” so nothing too demanding  We’ll also get out for a walk, Edward hasn’t been out since his op. He’s doing great, actually put on his socks today instead of me doing it :D Having it done by laparoscopy does seem to be so different as compared to his last hernia op 18 years ago.

Short break as Edward knocked over a full mug of coffee and you wouldn’t believe how far it splattered  On my rush downstairs for the mop, I noticed that the book I ordered the other day had been delivered. Off now to put towels in the wash and generally tidy around.

Happy Birthday Harry!
