The Census

Postby TheOstrich » 04 Mar 2021, 16:32

Just done the wretched thing online.
Some of the questions are not as straight-forward as you might think, for example regarding qualifications.
And the b*ggers haven't sent me the confirmation email I requested either.

I just tried.

I identified as a lesbian acorn and left-handed avocado with halitosis. I am a multi trillionaire and live in a cave. I am Brenglish and a BAMEW (black and minority ethnic white) as most of my neighbours are not white, and I can't dance or sing.

It sounds daft, but they are all acceptable entries according to gov.uk.

I did not complete the survey.

Can you ignore it?

Or is it just the electoral roll you have to complete by law.

Yes, it is an offence not to do it. The ultimate sanction is a £1,000 fine, but I think they come round and bang on your door to get you to do it before it gets that far, Jan.

Thanks Ossie, I knew you had to complete the electoral bit.

We have nothing like that here, either of them.

Yes, I've just done it now.
It was pretty straightforward.
They want everything to be done on line now don't they? You have to ring up for a paper form or apply via www.census.gov.uk (and why would you apply for a paper form if you are on line?) :?
