All sorts of bits and pieces coming out.

Times off work with bouts of an unknown illness in the weeks before.

Reports of erratic behaviour while on duty.

Then the indecent assault allegations caught on camera at a McDonald's.

CCTV footage from a bus serving the route Sarah walked and at about the time.

Dashcam footage of his vehicle and ANPR checks on its route.

Serious head injuries sustained when in custody and apparently self-inflicted.

The last one and the first three point to a very disturbed man on the verge of a breakdown or who might have already had one.

The Met is going to take a right pasting over all of this.

The Met are obviously recruiting some real beauties these days.
I did read on another site that many experienced officers are leaving forces across the UK, and especially the Met, because of workloads. This must impact on the ability of the police to do their jobs, and maybe to employ people whom in other circumstances they wouldn't.

The Met have been 20% understaffed for decades mainly due to ethic quota's going unfilled. Far eastern quota's are always almost totally unfilled.

Now we see that the WOKE lot demand 40% BAME intake. Good luck with that. It will just screw the Met more.

When the IPCC begins its work it is going to have some hard questions to ask about this case. The coverage given to it in the media and the questions it has raised in the public and with politicians make it a racing certainty that those questions will be asked - and answered. Staffing levels might play some part; but the operation and practices of the force certainly will be, and they will be gone over with a fine toothed comb.

Plenty of backsides munching seats right now I'd guess.
