Good morning everybody,

A lovely blue sky.
Where are yu Ally

Going to the dentist to have a filling It came out in March. This was the first day he could do it as he has to wear full protective clothing. Will wear it all day as he will be treating other patients.
If he is only doing a check up, he doesn't need to wear it.

Will mow the lawn this afternoon..
Have a good day everybody

Morning Cruiser, morning everyone

good luck at the dentist Cruiser, hope you get the filling sorted.
A lovely blue sky here as well, not sure I'll get the time to mow the lawn, but may try.

A usual mix of work and pootling today - am doing early school pick up for Amelia so will be out for a bit; but that's about it.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a pleasant day and not as cold as yesterday. Edward is out pottering about on the terrace, and I’ll do the general tidy around. Then I’m off for a walk with a friend - she had a knee done early last year but they broke a little bone  she has had a very bad time and is still not back to full mobility. We will walk close to her house so she can turn back as soon as she needs to. This the school friend who lives closest to me (married to my first boyfriend ;) ) but she is not great at keeping in touch, has a Stone Age phone, doesn’t do social media, but when we do get her to meet up with any of us, it’s obvious she really enjoys the contact - so I try and at least text her fairly regularly even though she might not reply for a week. I’m looking forward to a nice chat and catch-up.

Cruiser, Edward had a tooth removed the week before last and is now facing into 2 1/2 hours of dental surgery next week preparing for implants. The surgery is very safe, masks and ppe worn, plenty of hand sanitising. He arrived to collect something the other day and the place was almost on lockdown, as someone had come in without a mask.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck at the dentist Cruiser, hope it goes well.

Well like it or not I'm 75 today, wherever did all that time go :? It's my second birthday in lockdown so it will be a quiet day, no nice meal out to look forward to, a shame but it won't be long before we can do that sort of thing again. Tbh we wouldn't have been going far while E still needs a raised chair to sit on. Hopefully we'll have had our second jabs and he will be well advanced by the time restaurants open up properly. Really looking forward to being able to go to the cinema, now that will be a treat.

Flowers from Z have just arrived, must get them in water. She's planning for them to video call later which will be lovely. Other than that a normal Monday, expecting a Tesco delivery this afternoon, off out for our walk when it's arrived.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Good luck at the dentist's, Cruiser xx

Lovely weather here too, Ria :) Enjoy the pootling part of your day xx

Enjoy the walk with your friend Osc ;) xx

Glad you have the good weather too Saundra :D xx

These lockdown birthdays are a bit strange, Jen, but I hope you have a good day despite it :) xx

I'm round D's at the moment, but have a mammogram appointment in an hour's time. The hospital is a ten minute walk from here, and I'll walk home from there. Put some washing on before I came out, and I reckon it might dry by dark if I peg it out when I get in. It will be the first time using my line this year! Zumba tonight, and I really must do it!

Take care everyone :) xx

Afternoon everyone

Been a lovely, warm day 8-)

And a busy one, I was ordered to have coffee in bed and he even brought it out   and he then headed outside, to carry on weeding the gravel. So I joined him  only for three buckets for the donkeys, then after breakfast, picked a load of broad beans, shelled them and put them in the freezer. My fingers are now black

Hope the dentist was okay Cruiser :)

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone xx

Good afternoon all.
A lovely spring day here. The hedgerows are all greening up nicely and there is real heat in the sun. I sat out for half an hour but had to come in.
Had a char with Barry down the road and Kath next door; the good weather lifts everyone's spirits, I think.
We've had Eliza whilst her mum was shopping for a birthday present for her other half.
The sleep clinic has been in touch and I'm getting a new CPAP machine as the old one is now obsolete.
Have a good day all.

Good evening everybody.

No problem at the dentist. He polishd the teeth before doing the filling. Did it by hand as they cannot use powered drills or polishing heads. No pain except when he was rinsing the inside
of my mouth with cold water. He didn't charge me for the treatment.

Before he started the treatment, I asked him what it would cost to buy the chair you sit in when he is treating you. He said about £250,000. I told him I had seen a chair on the
Antiques Road show on TV last night which was worth half a million pounds. It was an original Chippendale with the original upholstery. It is one of the only set in the world
which have never been repaired.
It was very warm when I mowed the lawn this afternoon. Should have put my shorts on.
