Good with soup or curry.

500g plain yoghurt
500g self raising flour
1½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt.

[If using plain flour swap the 1½ tsp baking powder for 3 dsp baking powder]

Put all the ingredients in a bowl and bring together using a spoon or spatula. Tip onto a floured worktop and knead for a few minutes or until the dough is smooth. Cover and rest for about 30 mins.

Divide into 12 equal portions then roll into balls. At this point you can cover some of the balls in a dusting of flour and bag or clingfilm them for freezing. Take a ball and on a well floured worktop roll it out to about the size of a side plate or 20cm / 8" diameter. Get a heavy frying pan or griddle on a high heat and cook the breads for about two mins on each side or until cooked through turning twice. Keep warm under a towel till ready to serve.

Jan, I like that idea, I think Italian herbs would also work well.
