Masks to remain after June 12th

Masks and social distancing were a replacement for a vaccine when we didn't have a vaccine. Now we have a vaccine. OK masks and social distancing remains a requirement until we are fully vaccinated, some time at the end of the year. But only in certain circumstances.

Even then, out of the entire population, that 850,000 people (assuming full transmission which has been shown to be incorrect), there is virtually zero chance of becoming seriously ill and dying.

There is far, far, more chance that the virus will simply die out and become a perennial problem like Influenza. Which we don't wear masks for or socially distance for.

Not just the government, the wonderful money maker and story maker, a global pandemic, is coming to a close. The press need something else to keep the whole thing going until the last gasp.

If the government were to remove masks altogether, it would be wrong. Because that sells media. If they decide to keep masks into next year, that's wrong, because it sells media. When the first vaccinated person dies that will be the biggest glory fest of media of all. Never mind that it has been clearly demonstrated that within 4 weeks of a first vaccine it is possible to contract this type of virus and die for it. All cases outside 4 weeks result in infections which don't lead to death. But that will be ignored and you will have to dig really hard to find it.

It will be another year before the "story that keeps on giving" falls out of the mainstream press and media because they will keep it going as long as they possibly can. The more people believe this drivel the more the government will be affected by it.

Mind you I see the Tories, for local elections, are polling way ahead of Labour in Brexit constituencies. Unlike politicians and the press, the people, in general, are honourable and reward those who give them what they want.

Are they going to do the same with Flu? Because there is unlikely to be a time, in the next 3 years, where Covid is no longer in the UK.

With full vaccination is enhanced tracing warranted? I don't believe so.

Therefore they need to change the list or explain themselves. Because this chart is valid for a country with no vaccination. It should have been updated to reflect the vaccination.

The levels were relegated to a file in the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet in the cupboard under the stairs of No10.

They have not been heard of for months and have only now been shown the light of day so as to be used by experts to inform us about where to hug, when to hug, who to hug and how to hug safely. What would we do without these experts?

They will be back in the drawer by mid week - the levels - unfortunately the experts will be with us forever.
