Good morning Sunday from.....

Postby Ally » 13 Jun 2021, 04:39

....Nerja. :D :D :D :D

I treated birthday boy to a surprise weekend here.

We left yesterday morning and Don thought we were going to Conor's (who had been here since Thursday and went home around 9am yesterday) and I pretended he'd forgotten something and we were going to take it over to him. His face was a picture when I 'missed' the turning for Cala del Moral and kept driving.

It's been so incredibly hot where we live (surrounded by mountains which don't half trap the heat  ) that being here with the sea breeze is just lovely. :cute:

I'm up early, as usual, so I'm going for a walk along the coast.

Get back and wake Don up for the hotel breakfast.

We'll watch the England game in a bar then head back home as we're meeting friends tonight in the Thai restaurant.

Hope is everyone is ok and has a good day.xx

Cloudy but warm.

Glad Don had a good birthday Ally :Hi:

I've just been watching a pair of grouse stroll up the drive  Also watched by Molly, from her hiding place in the bushes

Not doing a lot - again - today but bbq later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Have a lovely time in Nerja Ally.

We're loving being able to sit out in the garden, more of the same today. Keeping things nice and easy for dinner, I'll pop a chicken in to roast but instead of veg with it we'll have new pots and salad. Choccy blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

I gave up scraping them years ago Saundra, they get a wash and then into the pan skins and all. Anything for an easy peasy life, that's me

Not only that, Jen, scraping or peeling means throwing away the healthiest and tastiest bits.

Don't do it Saundra... live a little. :D :D :D

Afternoon :)

Scorchio here! Mick and I were up early, for a lovely walk round the Docks, before it got too hot, and then brekky sitting outside Corretto's 8-) :D We popped round to D's afterwards, to put her bins out, and spent a very pleasant couple of hours on her patio, under her garden parasol :)

We've had new potatoes cooked with mint, a salad made with mixed watercress, rocket and spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes and red onion, in a balsamic and olive oil dressing. Mick had baked salmon with his, and I had cold sliced beef :D Not much sign of B today, she was out all day yesterday with a group from work- one of them has a big house and garden nearby, and they've taken to meeting up there, low-key partying in the garden. She crept in at silly O'clock last night, I vaguely heard her

Ally, a lovely surprise for the birthday boy :D :D xxx

Smiling at Molly staking out the grouse, Jan :) xxx

Ironing, Osc!! That change in the weather has a lot to answer for :P xxx

Definitely salad weather, Saundra ;) xx

Lovely sitting out enjoying the good weather, isn't it Jen? :D xxx

Boring football Frank? Surely not!! :P ;) It's a footie-free zone here :Hi: xx

Stay cool everyone :) xxx
