Delay Day has begun

Or should that be "Pause Day"?

We all knew this was coming but cue endless in-depth guesswork with colourful graphs and maps. Laura, Beth, Nick, Hugh, Adam, Victoria and Kay will be here to ask all the wrong questions and give us the wrong answers to ones we never asked.

I think that I will give it all a miss for a while and go my own way.

Expect them all to be percentages. No way will they show the numbers related to why they delayed the unlocking....

I don't bother with them. I much prefer to see the actual key data and track it myself. Because we reached 8k new cases in one day it was inevitable that the release was delayed. That was about the kick off point in the second wave when it ramped up to over 60k per day. But that was also in another reality where we had the vaccine but couldn't get enough, fast enough, to prevent the second wave.

We shall see how this pans out.
