Mrs S and I were talking about this over the weekend.

I recon if he doesn't do it in a month then he won't. It will all just die down.

However, given the world recession, I'd say that the appetite for appeasing him is at an all time low. The west would rather spend trillions blowing him and his country off the face of the world and kickstarting the economy again.

Not a time to play with fire when you stand in an open 100 gallon drum of petrol.....

Beijing must be in a bit of a pickle. It is the other capital, along with Seoul, within the range of the missiles being prepared.

If Kim acts like a cornered rat he could turn on the Chinese if they do not support him. His is not exactly the most stable of minds.

NK has always acted like a toddler throwing it's toys out of the pram.

What we need is for the world to say "Go for it, we'll keep the toys thanks. Now what?"

The news within nk states that this is all US led, and look here's photos of US battleships with South Korea's military. They're getting ready to attack us.

In reality, the US and the South Koreans are just doing their annual military practise exercises, but after all the nk posturing, the US have sent another battleship. Fine way to add fuel to the fire.

The nk leader bears a striking resemblance to his grandfather who "founded" the country. This is his first year anniversary of being the leader, and a lot of his photo shoots are very similar to what his grandfather did. With a bit if luck, this will end with a test launch of a rocket and the propaganda machine will say the west was scared of their show of might and went home (timed to coincide with the ending of the SK and US excercises)
Everything happens for a reason

He may be being like his Grandfather, but he's also being an idiot.

Now that he's threatened to proliferate his nuclear material and technology to the Arab world and the enemies of the US, he is a legitimate target. Now all they need is the slightest, tiny little, excuse and the whole "Korean Peninsula" issue will be solved one way or another.....
