That's a lovely house Shell! I expect people will pay over the odds for the school catchment then. I know the people who bought our old house wanted to be within the catchment area of the junior school that Tom and Joe went to because there's a certain snob value attached to the school because of the area it's in (we were a mile away, right on the edge of the catchment ) and IMO, it's not a very good school any more.
The house I posted is a funny one. I think why I've been curious about it is because on the whole estate they've been the house style that's 'stuck'. Apart from the houses the builders are currently constructing which are all starter homes, the only one which is still for sale is one of those and there's another two doors down from us which only sold and had the buyers move into at Easter, it's been available in all of the 2+ years that we've been here. So there does seem to be something that puts people off about them. BTW would you believe that two teenage boys and a 10 year old boy live in that house? They're wanting to move because the 10 year old won't settle at school - in the time we've been here he's been to three schools so I think that maybe says more about him than the schools
Weka, I'd love to see it!
