NHS Covid pass scam. BEWARE!

On Friday I received the following message, purportedly from the NHS:

We've noticed you haven't applied for your COVID pass, please follow the link to complete registration to avoid fees: (this is where the link would be)

It is true, I haven't applied for a Covid pass because I do not want one. So I did some follow up - it is a scam. See this for details.

I followed the link in a secure browser running in a separate sandbox and it is very convincing and many people will be sucked in, that's why I did not provide the link.

Please spread the word. Thanks.

Not really Kaz. People can choose to read, or not. I just hope that any who do get the text message do not hit the link. According to Action Fraud this is a relatively new scam, that's why I brought it up.

The "Do not click - delete" mantra has been out there for years.

I got an official letter from the NHS at the beginning of June. I needed this to show I had had two vaccinations before I could board the ship for the
cruise sailing at the beginning of July 2021.
This was not a scam. The details of how to apply were sent by email from Royal Caribbean.
