Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 02 Oct 2021, 06:53

Morning everyone

Foggy start  but the forecast is for a warm day, so hopefully, once it clears, I can take my cardi off

Grumpy will go down to the ruin once it's not so damp out there and I'll do the vacuuming that I didn't get around to yesterday.

Jackie is coming up this morning with some books for me :Hi: and she can take some back with her ;)

We'll have a bbq later, must take the steaks and other stuff out of the freezer.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan and all, it’s dull and breezy here.

Haven’t got long today, going out shortly to take Bill’s to my parents because today is payback day for all of the hundreds of episodes of Wheeler !$(*~^} Dealers that I’ve endured….John’s coming to the football  :D Joe’s at Amanda’s in Cornwall so his ticket was going spare. It’s another godawful 12.30 kick off so gotta run >>>>>

Have a good day all :D

Morning all.
No fog here Jan but it is blinking cold, and dull.
Hope you win today Jo. I hope we do too, we need it.
Same old same old today. I didn't sleep well last night so an afternoon nap is on the cards.
Steve the painter has finished the kitchen, it looks nice. Much brighter now in white.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it was dreary when we got up but is brightening up now - chilly though and the winter duvet is going on today! Lots to do, we are on countdown to going away next Saturday and we will have Michael and Kellie here overnight on Thursday so I want to be well organised. So suitcases/toilet bags/medical kit down from the attic this morning, lots of ironing to do too. I’m having a pedicure this afternoon, I always enjoy that. We had fun dancing last night. Enjoy the match, Jo, Edward will wave to you from his chair

Good morning everybody.

It is raining again. Have been shopping and bought the paper. Now going to have a coffee then just pootling.

JoM, you could park your car outside my house. Only a 15 mile walk to the ground or you could catch a train.
Osc, we have straps with our names woven into them which we put round the cases. Makes it very easy to identify them when they are
going round on the carousel at the airport.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Sitting under the awnings outside Corretto's, despite the rain, enjoying our brunch   We're very determined when it comes to our weekend treat  We are pretty well sheltered, and with Fraggle along we can't sit inside ;) Been to SW, another good result, have lost almost a stone since we got back into the hall at the very beginning of June :)

Enjoy your books Jan :) xx

Ditto the footie Jo, hope John enjoys himself :D xx

Not long to go then Osc! :D xx

Have a good day Cruiser xx

Hello all

Jo, enjoy the footie - hope the weather is better where you are; it's miserable here and you'd just get soaked sitting out there.
Jan, enjoy the BBQ - see comment to Jo; definitely not BBQ weather here   Good luck with the book swap
Crommrs, naps are good - enjoy it and hope you feel a bit better afterwards.
Cruiser, many years back I had a bright orange suitcase for exactly that purpose - easy spotting on the conveyor. Until the day there were two orange cases on the belt - I nearly ran after the person who took the first one thinking they were nicking mine; when I thankfully saw mine drop onto the belt. That could have been VERY embarrassing otherwise
Kaz, that's amazing. I need to get back into change of lifestyle mode when I get back from my holiday. I've put on so much weight again it's not funny and also really just not nice. I felt so much better when I lost that weight 2019 / 2020 so I'm determined to get there again.
Osc, I'm about to start packing for our trip - flight is at midday on Monday; cannot wait!
Saundra, my heating has been coming on for a few days now - just so nippy otherwise

A bit annoyed, was going to try get ahead of things by completing the passenger locator form for Spain which you can do up to 72 hours in advance; BUT... you need your seat number to complete it and you can't get that until you check in; or you have to pay extra money for the seat allocation. And quite honestly the holiday is costing enough so I'm not going to spend more money on something if I don't have to. So we will just complete the forms tomorrow. I've booked the PCR tests for the return as well so at least that's done.

Such a miserable day here - cold and wet. The gutter on the back extension was leaking something terrible, but this morning I had a lovely chap come out who fixed the facia and replaced the entire length of guttering - bless him; not the best day for outside work. It's really been a very expensive month; what with my crown coming off Wednesday, my front door locking mechanism failing same day - so locksmith out yesterday and today the gutter replacement - ouch! Bread and water for me once back from hols    May need to start a GoFundMe page for provisions

Oh well, given the rubbish weather, no excuse to not be doing things inside

Have a good day everyone xx

Morning all :D

More rain

Definitely not BBQ weather here Jan.
Enjoy the footie Jo.
Sorry you had a bad night Crommers, an afternoon nap sounds a good idea.
Well done on the weight loss Kaz.
Not long till your holibobs Ria.

Definitely not the nicest weather to do much so a nice lazy day it is. We'll be glued to Strictly this evening.

Hope you all have a good day xx
