Good Morning Thursday

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny and quite warm morning. Going to be rather warmer later 8-)

Just need to whizz into Ourique this morning and get some money out of the bank. We were at the bar yesterday and Antonio said he'd be up around midday today with two tons of wood for us  We don't normally get wood until next month, but as we're regular customers and there are a lot of new comers into the area, who also want wood, we're having ours early.

Back to clear out the wood store, as Grumpy uses it during the summer as an extension of his workshop  which means it's full of rubbish :cute:

General pootling after that.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Jan. that's very sensible about the wood.
A nice morning here with sunshine.
I'm still full of cold but it is a bit better today, praise be.
This afternoon Eliza is coming down here after nursery.
We got a quote for the car touch up the other day - £250. The other quote was £800-900 minimum.
I have no doubt that the second quote would have been a top job; they only do top work, mainly on high end cars if what they were working on is anything to go by. If I owned a £30,000 BMW I would have gone there. But I don't. My six year old Hyundai is worth maybe £5,000 on a good day, there's not much point spending up to 20% of it's value on a partial respray. And the cheaper guy also has a good rep.
I saw the physio yesterday and he's put me onto walking sticks. I am now wobbling around the house like Caleb Manglewurzle, aged 105.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast here

Good luck with the walking sticks Crommers.

We were up at silly 'clock waiting for John Lewis to arrive with the new dishwasher. It's now installed and going, fingers tightly crossed it works okay.

I've been trying to ignore toothache for the past few days, but have given in and phoned the dentist for an emergency appointment. It's at 1.45 today. Bit worried as it's the tooth next to the one that tore the nasal membrane when it was taken out and needed reconstruction surgery some years ago. I think the roots of this one are also a problem. Just hoping it can be fixed without too much trouble.

Hope you all have a good day xx

The Portuguese midday is obviously different from the English one  We're still waiting for the wood

Rather warm now 8-)

Been to Sainsbury's this morning, my bill was a bit lower as we'll be away this weekend :D Just had a bite of lunch, watching the news they just said we have one of the lowest covid rates in the country 8-) 8-) Got some vacuuming and cleaning to do this afternoon, and Pilates tonight.

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon everybody..
Spent over four hours as a volunteer at a loacl vaccination centre for Covid 19 this morning.

Just learnt that one of my wif'es cousins died on Monday. Altough she lived close to us we have not seen or spoken to her for several years.
Used to get birthday and Christmas cards from her but no phone calls or visits.

Now going for a rest.

Afternoon all, we were out this morning at a dance practice that we were invited to join. We enjoyed it and will go regularly when we get back from our holiday. Then back for lunch, just about to start packing. Michael and Kellie are coming to stay the night and all the clothes are piled on Michael’s bed. It is Kellie’s birthday next week while we are away so we’ll make a little fuss of her today, we have balloons around the place, a choccie biscuit cake with a 7 candle and a present. I’m sure they are both pretty tired having been at the wedding yesterday, stayed in a hotel and no doubt late to bed last night.
