Afternoon....exhausted after a night with the grandkids....admittedly they're not as boisterous as they used to be (now 12 and 7) but I was expectng a quiet weekend on my own as I was scheduled to work an extra half day yesterday and then T was supposed to be taking the kids to the caravan for the weekend....weather forecast wasn't good though and they knew their friends weren't going so they chose to stay with us (nobody else available apparently, mam and dad were both away, and with both other grandmas ) Lewis suggested watching a movie on Netflix (after Strictly of course!) and we had a takeaway Chinese. He said he'd seen the movie before, we hadn't but it was very good, if harrowing. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas? He's watched it before to enable him to discuss it in class at school. I thought about it all night after that....only hope Lily wasn't too upset by it. She slept in our bed with me, Tom in the spare and Lewis on the sofa. She is wrigglier than a wriggly thing.....I am shattered and was counting each hour as it passed! No rest or welcome extra hour here!
T and I usually go out somewhere on a Sunday, be it the beach, or the countryside for a walk and a snack somewhere, but the weather put paid to that today - we're usually pretty lucky with the weather on Sundays, but today it was very wet and windy first thing. So we just stayed in until dad came to collect them about 11.30. T had got tickets to watch the local womens' football match and arranged to collect Lewis at 1.15 but then he double checked and kickoff was 12, not 2pm!! At least they caught the second half
Have a good rest of Sunday all xx
