Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 06 Nov 2021, 07:21

Good morning.

Sunny and warm again. 8-)

A walk then back for coffee. :D

We're having some friends over this afternoon so BBQ Don can get busy with his tongs.

I've prepped the Bombay potatoes and I'll do the salads. Don's in charge of the meat.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but cold this morning. Cold for the next two days, then back to normal 8-)

Enjoy the bbq Ally x

Ironing for me this morning and Grumpy will be planting the peas and broad beans. That should take him quite a while, as yet again, we put too many in the scoop

Might pop down to the bar pre curry.

Hope Jen had a good night and is up and about now xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you two, good morning everyone :D

Ally enjoy the BBQ and Jan hope you get everything done, enjoy your curry tonight.

Off for a haircut at 11.30 but want to try pop by the local cats protection Christmas fair before, it's just a tad out the way though but I did say I'd go there. It's the first one in two years because of Covid. Meeting Nadine in town for a mooch and a bite to eat after the hairdresser and then home. Another night in with the cats to make sure they're OK with the fireworks. Poor Eli hated being shut inside yesterday and spent the first half hour or so running from one side of the house to the other to see if the cat flaps had somehow miraculously opened themselves  But once settled they actually were quite alright. I had the radio on (said Classic FM - but it kept switching itself off), curtains closed and lights on so you couldn't really hear too much, and I really think it helped that Nadine and I were both here in the dining room and just not fussing about them.

Hope Jen is doing as well as can be - sending vibes for a speedy and as comfortable recovery as possible.

Stay warm everyone x

Morning all, it’s grey and chilly here.

Joe got back from the Villa match in Southampton just after 2am, he’s just having his breakfast and then we’re off to Manchester for another 12.30 kick off. I miss the days of kick offs at 3pm on a Saturday.

I’ll make chilli for dinner when we get back, Tom’s not seeing Shannon this weekend as she’s visiting family in Surrey so it’ll be the four of us.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all.

Cold and grey here, and it will not get into the teens today, Drizzle is forecast for the afternoon and evening.

A bit of DIY to be done replacing the toilet seat and re-hanging a kitchen cupboard door.... then TV. The excitement never stops in these parts.

Hoping everyone has a good day.

Morning all

Have had a good night's sleep, yeah.

Yesterday wasn't much fun, couldn't get the pain under control, ended up with more liquid morphine, feeling a bit better today. Not sure what's happening, waiting for a wash, guess I'll find out soon if I'm going home.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it was quite nice earlier but now looks as if it could rain. Shortly, we’ll head over to Miss Osc’s to see their new kitchen - it’s not finished yet but getting there. Then we’ll go to Michael’s soccer match, leaving early so Edward can be home in front of the tv for that match to which Jo is going, wave at us Jo! As I did all the ironing yesterday, today I can read, knit or whatever else I fancy.

Jen, don’t rush home until the pain is under control.

Jan, just seen your lot in their fancy YNWA logo bus heading down the M6, obviously travelling down today in readiness for the West Ham game.
We waved. Sort of.

Osc, yes we’ll wave (and not like how we just waved at the Scousers ). We’re always sat up from the corner flag on the top right of the screen, got my red jacket on so keep an eye out

Hope today’s a better day Jen x

Ironing done, half the peas done, but it's a very cold north wind out there, so he's come in for a warm. I'll go down with him to do the rest.

Jen, do not go home until you're comfy. I came home too early and suffered for a day or so. Just take it easy xx
