Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 14 Nov 2021, 06:36

Good morning.

Warm and sunny. 8-)

Off for a walk then home to happily chill out.

There's a big fat chicken to roast that we'll have with salad and spicy potato wedges. :D

Tonight's film is The Joker. I hope it's not too scary. :?

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning 8-)

Gardening head on this morning 8-) We'll be planting all the cuttings we took a few weeks ago, which now have some lovely, long roots. Up on the bank, between us and the idiots next door. And it will tidy up the only slightly messy part of the garden.

Apart from that, not a lot. Putting everything back after yesterday and some sitting in the sun, I think :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing cc

Good morningeverybody,

After my breakfast I have walked for the paper. Then washed the car while the sun is on it. The car will soon be in shadow as the sun moves round.
Being a white car you can see where you have not cleaned.

Now going to have a coffee and then just pootling.
May not post tomorrow as I am going to pick up some fence panels.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning all.
The car came back from the sprayer's; a very good job and only £250. We had previously been quoted £800-900 minimum.
This afternoon I will drop MrsC at the Remembrance service and she and her sis will walk back.
Sis has actually had her own car related issues She and her partner put down a deposit on a nearly new Fiesta; it had a slight scratch on it which the garage promised to spray out. They didn't, they just buffed it. Long story short, sis has asked for her deposit back. Why do car salesmen tell porkies so easily?
Have a good day pootling Cruiser, enjoy the garden Jan and I hope the film isn't super scary Ally.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s a pleasant enough morning although there is some fog out to sea. For the first time since February 2020, we are going to a Sunday social dance :Hi: :Hi: I’m even going to put on makeup!! Until then, not doing much, we got up a bit late and still have to have our showers.

Good morning.

Dull and damp here. It is nor particularly cold but it is the sort of cold that chills your bones.

I have got the makings out for a hearty curry this evening and I will be having hot soup in a while.

I need to get to a hardware store (Screwfix) for some hinges for the kichen cupboard door that just came off in my hand.Literally, a few minutes ago! I pulled it open and it just kept coming, well the top did. The screws have lost their threads.

Enjoy whatever it is you are all doing. xxx

Morning all :D

It's been raining, but the sun's trying to come out now.

The Joker is more disturbing than frightening Ally. Joaquin Phoenix is brilliant, he well deserved the Oscar.

Another quiet day for us, I'm managing to potter a bit more, so long as I don't lift anything there's quite a lot I can do. Even managing to sit at the computer a bit longer, onwards and upwards.

An easy dinner again this week, M&S cottage pie with peas, yummy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a grey one here.

I’m full of cold and can hardly hear a thing, I’m at the blocked ears stage. Think I’m driving John crazy with him having to repeat everything. I’ve done a test to be on the safe side and it was negative, it just happens to be the second cold I’ve had in under three weeks :?

Tom went for his booster yesterday. He decided to try a new walk in centre, just a five minute drive away. He left here at 11am and didn’t get back until 1.40pm, he was queuing outside for over 2 hours.

Al, I’ve seen The Joker a number of times. We even went to the cinema twice in the one week to see it. Joaquin Phoenix is outstanding in it. Like Jen said, it’s disturbing rather than scary.

Enjoy the rest of the day all :)

Hope it clears soon Jo xx

All change, Gez came up about 10.30 and has only just gone   We caught up on a lot of gossip  and now it's too hot to be outside in the sun, diggings holes.

The hunters are back - been bangs all around us this morning. They got 21 javali yesterday :o

Also Grumpy has got his booster and flu jab booked. Had a text in the early hours and spent ages trying to reply - bit dense here  Hopefully will get mine soon :D
