At the moment, we are going to Miss Osc’s. SIL’s mother and her partner will be there. At the moment, SIL’s sister has friends coming from England, but if they can’t come due to restrictions, she and her two children will there also. We had offered to withdraw if she was going to be there so SIL could just have his family there but he seems keen for us to be there for their first Christmas in their new home. My sister will be there also.

C. eve. Down to sis and hubs and my niece and nephew and their other halves and kids for the traditional meal. They will set off for midnight mass at about 11:30 and I'll come home.

C. day. Daz, Al, Andy and myself (The Four Muskrat's Ears) will go to the local - Covid permitting.

B. day. Round to the ex out-laws and my nieces, nephews and their kids on that side of the family.

A few days of rest then it's N Y eve. :) :D :D

Well as Germany has been cancelled we'll be spending it all at Karl and Nadine's.

Christmas Eve, sit down dinner and Christmas Day just lots of snack foods and a very chilled day. I have two friends who will be on their own so we've invited them to join us for Christmas Day and Nadine's cousin and her family will probably join as well; so hopefully a nice number of people. Need to try find some board games to play - I don't have any so am going to ask on local sites if anyone has some gathering dust that they're willing to sell for not a lot of money :D

It will be just me this year.

I will have some wine and then a tot of whisky when I am watching TV.

Will get diffrent types of small joints which I can roast. Will also have fish--No fingers!!
That's me easily sorted.

It's a shame you don't live locally Ria as we found loads of board games, some unopened  when we had a big clear out of Harry's room! They're in the garage waiting to go to a charity shop!

Master O is down here on furlough this week, so we had our Christmas meal today - chicken breasts and all the trimmings, stuffing with prunes, pigs in blankets, button sprouts and carrots, roast potato and parsnips, bread sauce and cranberry, washed down with a bottle of Babycham.
No pudding, and we all slept for three hours in the afternoon!!
Crackers with leftovers, plus cheese and pate, and sweet gherkins this evening.

For Christmas itself, it'll just be Mrs O and Ossie at home. We'll have a cut-down version of that Christmas meal, and indulge in a few treats. Have got the Christmas Radio Times (£5.25!! flippin 'eck :( ) so we'll see what sort of rubbish is on the telly ....

When did this 'pigs in blankets' thing kick off?

A few years ago? Never had them till I became 'old'.

They are disgusting and take up room on the plate for decent things like sage and onion stuffing (done in the bird) Yorkshire puds and mashed carrots.

Christmas is cancelled here.

Got a text from the ex to say the out-laws do is off, and I have just had a call from my sister to say theirs is off as well. Too many babies and very young for it to be safe - apparently.

With that I am now going out for a good shop. I'll get a chicken with all the makings - no pigs in blankets - mince pies, wine and spirits and mixers, box of chocs, fruit, nuts, the usual.

However, I do hope all your plans are still in place and can still celebrate. :D :D :D
