Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 22 Jan 2022, 07:34

Good morning.

Cloudy today and only 16 degrees.

My walk shortly and yes Crommers, I get through a couple of pairs of trainers a year.

I'm planning a nice quiet day at home and tonight we're going to get a Chinese takeaway and binge watch Hidden Assets. It's set in Ireland (Co. Clare) and Belgium.
Sis has just finished watching it and recommended it so I'm looking forward to it.

Have a great day.

PS...useless information but it was 7 years ago today I became a mod on here. Where has the time gone!?

Morning all, it’s quite a bright one here. I had a bad night, we ate out yesterday and what I had sat in my stomach like a lump of lead while it worked its way through my system. Later this this morning we plan to visit Edward’s sister and BIL, the one who has cancer, we haven’t seen them since before Christmas. Then it’ll be back to my comfy chair for the rest of the day.

Ally, we really enjoyed Hidden Assets, unlike the previous Irish drama series Kin, which just annoyed us. Saundra

I’m feeling ok, thanks Saundra, just tired. Our plans have changed, Edward’s sister rang to say that BIL’s brother was coming to visit and her hubby and his brother would be going for a walk, so we said we would visit another day. Edward is batch cooking veg for the freezer and then we might go for a walk around the block. Then it’ll be jigsaw/read/crochet for me while he watches sport.

Oh by the way, most of our restrictions were lifted at 6am, so we can’t wait to carouse in the pub until all hours - yeah yeah ok, you know me too well. It won’t make a huge difference to us apart from hoping that more social dancing comes back.

Good to hear you enjoyed Hidden Assets Osc.

Saundra.

It's windy here today which is very unusual as we are in a valley and get protected from everything so I had a windswept walk but loved it. :D

Afternoon all :)

Ally, thanks for the 7 years of help and friendship :D :geek: xxx

Osc, I can't see our lifting on Monday will make much difference to me either xx

Saundra, I must drink enough tea to float a battleship   xx

Hi Cruiser :) xx

Early start for me and B, to get to our SW meeting. Both stayed the same, not too bad at this time of year. Breakfast at Correttto's afterwards. Mick took H to work. Round to D's after, then home via Sainsbury's for some milk and bread. It's really chilly here today!

Love to all xx

Afternoon all :D

However tempting I haven't hibernated, eldest daughter video messaged me and we've only just stopped

Elijah is 14 today, honestly it doesn't seem possible.

The lifting of Plan B won't make much difference to us either. We'll still be wearing masks on public transport and in shops.

Well most of the day is now over, certainly not worth doing much so I won't  Usual Saturday dinner, jacket potatoes filled with baked beans plus a cheese and ham omelette. It's one of E's favourties, easy peasy 8-) The Masked Singer on the box later, absolute nonsense, we love it

Hope you all have a good day xx
