Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 23 Feb 2022, 06:35

Good morning.

Another day forecast 25C....showers are predicted for Friday which has us all excited.
We are desperately in need of rain. :o

Had a lovely day yesterday topped off with getting home and Conor pootled up on his motorbike. :cute:

After today's walk we're heading to la Trocha for a spot of retail therapy. There's a Dunnes there and a new Carrefour. :D

GB Menu tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cloudy start but another 25C forecast here too 8-) Rain is forecast for tomorrow :Hi: :Hi:

Off to Ourique later. We need to tax the car (ouch) and then pop into the library, as Fatima has one of her own books to lend me :D I0ll have a quick browse and see if there are any books there I haven't read

Doctors appointment at 11.30, to see if I can take CBD oil for my aches and pains or not.

Then the joy that is Pingo. Aldi open next month :Hi: :Hi: Was chatting to Odette earlier this week about it. She's never used them before and was asking what sort of things they sell  I think the consensus of the local is that it's more for the foreigners  But I'll be giving it a miss for a couple of weeks anyway, let all the hiccups get ironed out and the rush over and done with.

BBQ this afternoon 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s sunny and cold today. No particular plan but I need to go to the post office to take out money, and also walk down to buy fish. Supermarket shop due between 4-6, that’ll be the day’s excitement

Morning all.

Something has gone wrong.

It's bright, there is no rain, and it's quite warm out of the breeze.

Bedding change and houseworkey day with a few loads of washing to do, then not a lot of anything else.

I was going to take some things to the charity shop but it is closed early on Wednesdays - just like in times past. :D

Ah well, time for a cuppa, enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

Morning all :D

Quite a few black clouds overhead, but we're getting a few glimpses of the sun.

Enjoyed the film yesterday, it was nice getting back to 'normal' things.

Just had an e-mail from EON to let us know how the price hike will affect our yearly energy costs. On present usage we'll be £736.27 worse off and that's without taking into account the further increase expected in October :o We both have a small work pension alongside our state pension so we obviously won't be as badly affected as a lot of people will be, but it's bound to cause real hardship for many.

No plans for today, a lazy day beckons.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally if only I could send you some of ours! Flood warnings all over the Severn Valley at the moment xxx

Jen, that’s a huge hike! Like you, D has a decent pension so will cope, but some must be so worried :? :( xx

Similar here Frank, except it’s windy again :cute: xx

*Waves to Osc* :) xx

Enjoy Pingo Jan ;) xx

I am in Coffee#1 in town with H. He had a review of his medication at the drs so I went with him as he wasn’t sure of the route on foot. We walked here afterwards as he fancied a sausage butty for lunch, and I’ve had a toasted tea cake and a cuppa. Need to go to M&S afterwards as I have a freebie on my Sparks card - a punnet of grapes - plus some money off chicken pieces 8-) Might go to Zumba tonight, but I’m waiting to hear from Em - her mum isn’t too good at the moment and she’s spending a lot of time round at her place.

Love to all:) xxx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny and windy here although we’ve just had a light shower. It was very chilly when I walked Bill first thing.

Joe’s just home from college. He wasn’t due in this week with it being half term and was at his actual work all week but his tutor had said he’d be in so Joe asked work if he could have today at college as he missed two weeks when he had Covid. He’s come home with a load of work to do so will start on that once he’s had his lunch.
He usually goes to see Amanda’s family after college on Wednesdays but Kath, her mother, is isolating due to having cataract surgery next week so isn’t taking any chances. She was really struggling with her sight when we saw her at Christmas so is desperate to get this done. Bless her, she’s flippin’ lovely is Kath so I hope it goes perfectly for her.

Tom’s gone over to the school to get some planning done. I think secretly he just likes being in his own classroom, it’s still a novelty  :Hi:

Jen, it’s awful isn’t it how much the prices are rising. Some people are really going to find it difficult, especially when prices in the supermarkets are rising too.

Kaz, I love Coffee#1. There’s one in Stafford. I’ve not been in since before Christmas but they were doing a hot apple and cinnamon drink which was amazing, it wasn’t listed as a Christmas special so I’m hoping it’s something they have all year.

Enjoy the day everyone x

What a morning

Big queue out Fincançes, so I went to the library. Fatima wasn't t here, but I got some books anyway. Time for the doc's by then. Waited 10 minutes before I even got to reception (Amelia is on and she's soooo sloooow  ) Then had to wait another 45 minutes   to see Dr Julio.

He's Brazilian and I have difficulty understanding him and as obviously has difficulty understand me too   He just gave me a prescription for CBD oil  So I'm going to have to see another doctor, to see if it's okay for me to take it or not.

He didn't seem too bothered about a lump on my arm, just gave me some cream   which I won't be using. I'll ask Jan to make me an appointment at her dermatologist and have it looked at there.

So, back to Finançes, walked right in and Vitor did the computer stuff, then said that the system was down and I'd have to go back, some other time

Pingo was dire, as always, only one check-out open - at lunchtime

Poor Grumpy was feeling the heat quite badly and was really struggling when we got home, so he's stripped off :o lying on the sofa.

Steve wants to meet us at the bar later, so I'll just do the prep for the bbq and we'll head off.

Aldi is looking good :Hi: :Hi:

Good afternoon.
The rise in energy bills is going to be awful for many people.
Yes, quite a sunny day here. A chilly wind but OK if you can get out of it.
We've made an appointment at the bank, got some cash out of the atm and filled the car up with petrol.
MrsC has walked up to the village library with her sis.
A quiet day here like always.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.
