Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 25 Feb 2022, 06:24

Good morning.

Feels warm, 21C on the cards and a 40% chance of scattered showers late morning. Maybe I should shelf the rain dance and have a full blown kitchen disco to ensure some rain.

My walk awaits. :D

It's Dia de Andalusia on Monday which gives the go ahead for a weekend of parades and fun starting with a 'ye olden days' show in la plaza Espana at 5pm. :D

We'll go along and watch it then hook up with our friends for Friday beers and tapas. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sun and cloud this morning. Rain is forecast, but doesn't feel like it at the moment.

Off on a jolly this morning :Hi: :Hi: Down to the Algarve with Jan, will be super careful, wear a mask and do my usual wet wipe with alcool on any/all shopping trollies. Looking to buy a new vacuum cleaner, so that will be Wortens and Radio Popular. No idea where else we'll be going, Jan is in charge  And I'll buy lunch, as a thank you for taking me down.

Back late, might pop into the bar on our way home or meet Grumpy there.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

hello you two and everyone, good morning

Jan, have fun shopping - don't spend too much money :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: I'm the same as you and still wipe down trolleys where the facilities are provided. It's all rather odd here, effective yesterday there no longer is a need to self isolate and stay at home even if you test positive  They ask that you stay at home if you can, but it no longer is a legal requirement; ie employers can (and sadly some will) insist you come in to work or you risk not getting paid. So I'm going to be extra cautious again.

Ally, enjoy the parade and the weekend of festivities - sounds like fun. And as always enjoy those tapas and beers!

Well, not sure what the plan is for today (besides work that is  ). I was due to take Thomas for a dental appointment because both Karl and Nadine were meant to be working, but Nadine wasn't feeling well all day yesterday and this morning she tested positive - oops! So there is a chance the dentist will ask that Thomas doesn't come in - we'll see. I've been doing daily lateral flows anyway because of the two pings I received, but was due to stop them this weekend. I'll now continue for another week because I dropped something off at theirs yesterday

But at least the skies are blue and the sun in shining.... although that breeze out there is darn nippy again! brrrrrrrrr

have a lovely day everyone x

Jose Felipe came up with the eggs earlier. His wife tested positive earlier this week, so I sprayed my hands, after washing them, then sprayed the bag the eggs were in, then sprayed my hands and then washed them again.

The eggs, in the bag, will stay on top of the fridge for a few days before I touch them.

Hope Nadine feels better soon xx

Good morning all, it’s beautifully sunny although it’s cold.

Bill’s had his walk, the first load of washing is on the line and I’m now waiting for the Tesco delivery. Not sure what Tom’s doing today, Joe’s booked today off as his car is being serviced so he’s home and is waiting for the call to collect it. Once he’s got it he’ll be driving down to Falmouth for the weekend.

Have a good time Al!

Oh goodness Ria, fingers crossed that you manage to avoid catching it. Hope Nadine feels better soon. It’ll be interesting to see what the dentist decides on now that restrictions have changed so much.

Have a good day all x

Morning all :)

Ally that all sounds fun, have a good time :) xx

Jan, don’t spend anything I wouldn’t spend! ;) :P   xxx

Ria, I hope Nadine recovers quickly and that the rest of you avoid it! xxx

I hope Joe has a nice trip to Cornwall Jo xxx

It’s sunny here too, and far less windy! I am quite looking forward to a nice walk out in it :) We were supposed to be going across to Staines tonight for my cousin’s daughter’s 21st, but have made our excuses. My cousin and her husband have literally just recovered from covid - their first negatives this morning - plus I know a few of the others who’ll be attending are unvaccinated so as we have D to consider it isn’t worth the risk :?

Love to all xxx

Morning all, sunny but cold here. The golf course is open for the first time in over a week, so Edward will be heading off in a while. I’ll do a bit of ironing. We’re going dancing tonight so I don’t want to wear myself out ;) Nice text from my doctor last night - “Good news Rosemary, mammogram all normal” :D I have my return appointment with the consultant in a couple of weeks. We had a nice day out yesterday, dance practice, then because we didn’t have to get home for Michael and Kellie, we were able to have a cuppa with our fellow dancers before going shopping. Got a new smallish suitcase and somehow or other, I ended up with some nice sandals :P

Morning all.

Looks like we might all be getting a decent day - tapas, shopping - vacuum cleaners, so exciting.

Ria, I am another masker and sanitiser and will be for a while yet. Vibes for Nadine. Soph and Michael recently had it but came out the other side OK so hope she's the same. Kaz, wise move.

Nothing much planned, but if Andy and Darren are up for it we might do the local music quiz tonight - first time in ages.

Have a good one. xx

You’ve made the right decision Kaz, we found with tests that we’d get a negative and then we’d test again later and get a positive so it’s not worth taking a chance.
Not sure if Shannon had it before Monday but hadn’t tested until then when she got a positive but Tom said she’d had a negative test on Wednesday so was going back to work yesterday.

Hello Saundra!
