Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 26 Feb 2022, 07:16

Good morning.

Light showers forecast for later but that's what was supposed to happen yesterday and we didn't get a drop.

Off for a run shortly.

We've got a BBQ birthday party this afternoon at some friends that we haven't seen for ages so I'm looking forward to seeing them. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sun, cloud and showers forecast. Not quite so warm, but manageable 8-) We didn't get here either yesterday, although it was forecast. Got caught in a monsoon on our way back yesterday, for about 15 minutes, then the road was bone dry

Playing with our new toy this morning :Hi:

Don't think we'll be going down to the bar this afternoon, not with the possibility of rain. It's not the best place to sit inside, think old fashioned (1950's) tables and chairs

Enjoy the bbq Ally x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello and good morning

Enjoy the BBQ Ally - sounds like fun
Jan, have fun with the vacuum cleaner :D and agree, love seeing the people at the pub when I visit you but sitting inside isn't quite as nice as being outside and watching the world go by.

Well a glorious sunny morning here, but rather nippy with lots of ground frost. Going to have a lazy(ish) morning and then head up to the allotment and spend a few hours there. Then an evening of TV and pootling about.

have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, it’s sunny and cold here.

I’m just getting some jobs done while John walks Bill. With Joe being in Cornwall I’ve called John off the subs bench and he’s coming to the match with me this afternoon BUT the M6 is fully closed going north between Stafford and Stoke and not expected to reopen until at least 1pm so we’re going to have to rethink which way to go and set off earlier than planned. The other way from here is straight up the A34 but that’ll be where the motorway traffic is being rerouted so that’ll be a no go.

Right, the ironing is calling

Have a good day all x

Morning all, it’s dull and dreary here but no real rain forecast except maybe some drizzle. We’re going to watch Michael play football this morning, and might pop around to Miss Osc’s afterward to see the new tiling in their kitchen. All that is needed now is the walls painted and a new blind, they are getting there slowly but surely.

Jo, we get to see the match live on tv here, on Premier Sports, who secured rights to show them on Irish Sky, so you might hear Edward swearing if things don’t go well ;) Hope the drive there isn’t too stressful.

Good morning everybody.

Cloudy but no rain. Thye sun is tryin to come out. Have been to Tesco for some shopping. Am now waiting for the plumber to come.
He serviced the boiler yestreday afternoon. Said it neded a new gasket. He also ttried to remove the valve from the cold tap on
the bain in the bathroom. The tap had started leaking. But he could not get it to turn. I said I would be easier to fit two new taps
So after he left I went to ScrewFix and bought two new ones for him to fit this morning.
I have managed to keep warm as he turned the CH boiler off. Hav a this woolly jumper on and a good duvet in bed.
Just pootling again today

Have a good day everybody.

 Osc, you might hear me swearing too. We don’t get any of the Saturday 3pm kick offs on TV here, we usually end up watching any away games at that time on a dodgy stream with foreign commentary.
Shame you’re not over here, Edward would’ve been more than welcome to use Joe’s ticket any time he can’t make it.

I bet the house will look lovely when they’re done, it does take time though and you usually come up against things you didn’t expect.

Morning peeps.
Sunny but chilly here.
Sit outside in the rain Jan, sorted! (Just keep your beer covered, you don't want to get it watered down).
For the first time yesterday I went walking without my walking stick. No distance really but I never thought I would be able to, so that was a nice moment for me.
Yesterday MrsC and I cooked a beef stew, a bolognese and a cottage pie. We must have ended up smelling like a pair of meat pies but we have some good stuff for the freezer now.
Good luck with the drive up to Manchester Jo.
Have a good day everyone.

Done that a few times   Just pull the awning out a little further

Hope you get to the match okay Jo x

Wow Crommers, well done on the walking x Just be careful, so easy to forget that you don't have the stick with you.

Sun now hiding behind lots of cloud. I've taken a few cuttings from different plants for friends and will water them and talk to them (in Portuguese, because they are Portuguese plants 8-) ) until they're ready for their new homes.

Will have a wander around with my bucket soon and dig up the wanted weeds.

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine here 8-)

Well done on the walk Crommers.

We had a good lie in this morning, only just having brekkie/lunch. Bed change day so the sheets are in the wash and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx
