And if deaths are still at the last four week's seven day daily average of about 260 that will be wrong because....? Another 3,640 dead between now and then.

People are dying every day.

In December 2021, there were 49,428 deaths registered in England, 7,346 deaths (17.5%) more than the December five-year average (2015 to 2019); there were 3,336 deaths registered in Wales, 470 deaths (16.4%) more than the December average.

The leading cause of death in December 2021 was dementia and Alzheimer's disease in both England (accounting for 12.4% of all deaths) and Wales (12.1% of all deaths).

Coronavirus (COVID-19) was the fourth leading cause of death in December 2021 in both England (accounting for 5.4% of all deaths) and Wales (5.2% of all deaths).

People dying every day in December. 1,702
People dying of Covid every day in December. 92

This is the "with" and "of".

The number of cases are going to fall. They will fall even faster when we stop mandating testing.
The number of deaths will fall as the number of cases fall.

They're falling already but will fall faster.

Where is the MSM shrieking about the 1,700 dying every day? Not there. Because people die. It is sad but it is part of life.

What the Hell have ALL deaths got to do with lifting Covid restrictions, especially when dementia, Alzheimer's and cancer are not transmissible diseases? It's deflection.

Restrictions are being lifted because they were put in place because of Covid, nothing else, and we still have, on average, some 260 of those deaths per day. If they do not drop substantially in the next two weeks that will be reason enough for the MSM to ask serious questions.

I am not against the cautious lifting of all restrictions, but I am concerned that many people are still dying in large numbers because of Covid.

No it is not deflection. Amongst those other categories are flu and even the common cold. They are transmissible.

The MSM is acting as if nobody dies of anything but covid the second the government talks about taking away their gravy train.

According to the recorded statistics there are just over 400 people who are seriously ill with Covid. That number goes down every day.

If someone has terminal cancer, catches a cold and dies from a lack of immune response, they are recorded as a cancer death. If someone has terminal cancer, detects positive for covid and dies, they are a Covid death.

We have to break the chain and stop this or we will never get out of this and start living our lives.

We live in a sea of transmissible disease. Some of them, like flu, kill people. It is a fact of life and unless we want to lock down the country forever, we have to live with it.

The time to start doing that is rapidly approaching and it is only a matter of timing.

Legal restrictions forcing isolation in England will be removed on Thursday. Free testing for all on April Fools day.

Whilst monitoring of the situation remains and the variant gene sequencing continues to track variants, the restrictions are going.

It is going to take a full on resurgance for restrictions to come back again and with the vaccinations that is close to impossible. Once the bulk of testing goes away, the ONS figures are going to crash and the death stats are going to crash with them.

This weekend the UK changed the numbers for Covid. They no longer report on the weekend and they report the whole weekend on Monday.

The numbers for the 28th average 27k for cases per day, over the three days and 46 for deaths. 138 deaths and 82,451 cases, for three days.

On Friday 25th, the 7 day reduction in cases was 20.7%. For deaths it was 17.8%.
Today, the 28th, the same 7 day reduction numbers are 24.3% and 25.2%

For admissions it was a lot smaller, with a 7 day drop of 9.4% on Friday and 10.3% today. Ventilation beds continue to fall, now down to 271.

With neither Schools nor workplaces required to blanket test, I expect these drops to continue. Eventually, with no massive resurgence due to "living with it", I expect the dashboard to eventually go away.
