Petrol Prices ....

Postby TheOstrich » 06 Mar 2022, 15:12

It's gone up to 155.9 for unleaded (E10) at the town's Esso petrol station today. I took the precaution of topping up the tank.

My friend in Bridport tells me it's 159.9 down there, and Morrisons tanks have run dry. It's the same story in Wincanton where there also seems to be a shortage of fuel .....

What are the prices where you are?

Ours are going up from between 8 to 15 cents from tomorrow.

It's anything from 1.80 to 1.90 a litre at the moment

Here in Ireland, it’s hovering around €1.85 a litre. Our SIL works for Maxol, so he has been just a bit busy this week……

Around the £1.50 mark, depending where you buy.

Just paid €1.93 here in France today.

I am heading back to the UK in a week, need to get my car filled before it hits €2.

I filled uplast week when I went to Tesco. It was £1.49 per litre.

I have been keeping a record of petrol prices for several years.
In 20121 it was 128.9 per litre, 106.9 in 2015 and 99p on 15th December 2015.-Must have been an easrly Christmas present.

I can remember when it went up to £1,00 per GALLON. I was still working so that must have been sometime between 1976 and 1996.

Morrisons usually has the cheapest petrol and they were sitting at 152 on Friday :( I was visiting friends near Southampton over the weekend so 100mile round trip and that's taken a good chunk of petrol out the tank. I may top up again tomorrow becasue it's not going to go down in price and Wednesday I'm having a ganglion removed and then aren't allowed to drive for a week. So may as well get petrol now before it has a whole week to go up to even more silly money

When MrsC and I went past our local Shell station this morning E10 petrol was £1.59 a litre.
So I went to fill up this afternoon and it had gone up to £1.67 a litre!

Suff, I remember that. I had a Lambretta 150 in 1973 and petrol was 33p a gallon then.
