Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 09 Mar 2022, 06:38

Good morning.

Sunny and 22C. 8-)

Off for my walk shortly.

We're going to Miramar shopping mall for a spree.

There's loads of stores there which is a good job as I seem to suddenly need trainers, running gear and vests.

Primark will be visited along with C&A and H&M. :D

On the way home we'll detour up the coast to Iceland (not the country although I'm driving and given my infamous sense of direction it could well be! ) and Tesco.

Conor's coming over around 4 and taking us out for a beer and a bite to eat. :D

Have a great day.

How's B feeling Kaz? X

Good luck with your little op today Ria. X

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but chilly start. 20C for us later 8-) And no wind :Hi:

Best of luck today Ria xx

Hope B is feeling okay Kaz, and you're all still negative x

Also E, after his long day yesterday.

Enjoy your spending money day Ally :D

Been awake since 4.00  but finished a rather long and heavy book. So need to get to the library this morning, to get some more. And also take back Fatima's book. Drogaria and then Pingo.

Aldi is opening today :Hi: :Hi: We've decided against it, today, but will go early Sunday morning - oh, the excitement

Back to make a stew for tomorrow and then just pootle.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out with lots of fluffy clouds. Going to have an eye test this afternoon Will be going to Tesco this morning for some shopping.
Had the new boiler fitted yesterday. First gas engineer arrived at *.00 a.m and the second arrived before 9.00 a.m. Apart from stopping
to have coffee which I made they carried on working until nearly 5.00 p.m. Cleared up all the debris and old boiler. It was taken away by
another wast disposal contractor. There is some pipe work exposed in the kitchen, but I will have this boxed in later.
Have also to put things back in place in the gagage. Had to be moved to fit the new gas pipe.
Well worth the upheaval and cost. Had a lovely hot shower when I got up this morning
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a dreary dismal day here. However, I have plenty to occupy my day - a form to be filled out for Social Welfare and posted, ironing to be done of course, and Edward wants to practice a particular dance. The day was somewhat brightened by the arrival of our pre-cruise booklet from Cunard, although I won’t relax until we have been tested and are on board!

Cruiser, you will really appreciate having an up-to-date boiler!

Aldi car park was full  We had no intention of going in today anyway, but we have to drive past it on our way into Ourique.

Grumpy got what he wanted in the drogaria and I had a chat with Fatima in the library, then the joy that is Pingo. Not too full, although the car park was

Met Steve and Jacky, as they were on their way down to Faro and we'll meet them in the bar later this afternoon.

Now gone cloudy  but warm 8-)

Glad you're all okay Kaz xx

Off to make a gert lush stew :D

Morning all :D

Dull, but dry at the moment.

C&A, that brings back memories, like Saundra always loved shopping there.
Sensible to wait a few days before going to Aldi Jan, it's bound to be manic today.
Glad your new boiler is in Cruiser, bet you've missed the central heating.
When are you off on the cruise Osc?
Not sure what I've missed, hope all is well with Ria.
Hope B is feeling better soon Kaz.

E's appointment went very well yesterday, thanks for all the good wishes. He was x-rayed before seeing the new consultant Mr. McCulloch who said he's not at all surprised the left hip is causing so much pain, the deterioration is quite severe. Anyway, given E's medical history and all the kerfuffle last time he's going for a belts and braces approach so there are more tests he would like done, blood tests, cultures and so on. The op is definitely going ahead, he told E it will happen sometime in the next 3-4 months. Obviously we'd like it done sooner and the extra tests mean more trips back and forth, but we understand the reasoning and having it done in the warmer months isn't a bad thing, it will make it easier for him to get out for daily walks afterwards.

No plans, intending to be extremely lazy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a mild day here but is dulling over a bit now.

Had a lovely long sunny walk with Bill first thing though and then a catch up with Joe when we got back and before he left for college. Amanda’s grandad sadly died yesterday and I’ve just ordered some flowers to be delivered to her family :( It’s hard for Amanda being in Falmouth but Joe was saying that when she last saw her Grandad before she went back in January he knew who she was and gave her a great big hug, that’s a lovely memory for her to have.

Hope all goes well for Ria x

Kaz, hope Becky feels much better soon x

Enjoy the boiler Cruiser!

Jen, that’s good news that they’re proceeding with caution this time x

I got a bit over-excited when I saw C&A in Prague, I even took a photo of it

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon everyone.
We have been shopping for MrsC a pair of boots today, been for a coffee, got the prescriptions and good some potting compost from the garden centre. (John Innes - it weighed a ton).
Good luck Ria.
That's good news about E Jen.
May go to the club tonight, may not.
Great news about the boiler Cruiser.
Enjoy the rest of the day all.
