Sunny and forecast 24C. 8-)

I'm off for a walk shortly.

A day lazing by the pool for us ladies.

Friday beers and tapas tonight and Jackie will be introduced to the gang. :D

Have a great day.

Morning all.

Ally, have another lovely day with Jackie :) xx

Didn't sleep too well, so up early. Will get my Friday cleaning done, then walk into town to blow off some cobwebs. It's chilly again, but hopefully not as chilly as yesterday as it snowed briefly  Thankfully it didn't settle.

Take care everyone xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sunny but chilly at the moment. Think we'll get up to 18C later.

Cleaning for me too, this morning.

Strimming after the cleaning. much prefer that than going to the coffee morning, where five of my friends are going and wanted me to go too. Not my thing, really.

Fish +pie for Grumpy, by request. Fortunately, I had a couple of spares in the freezer  I'll have pasta.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it is lovely and sunny here but very cold. Edward is going to play golf, he’s well wrapped up. I want to get petrol and put the car through the car wash, also need to get a birthday and gift voucher for my brother. We had a little bit of fun here for Miss Osc’s birthday yesterday, when she arrived to collect M and K - we had balloons and a cake, took silly selfies, and generally had a laugh. She was saying that this is her third birthday now when we are all still talking about Covid  We’re going dancing tonight.

Morning all :D

Gale force winds and rain overnight, very noisy. Still quite windy, but dry at the moment.

Finally managed to get online and give my energy readings late last night. Our DD is going up from £119 to £179.92 from today. That's an increase of £731.04 over the next 12 months although in reality it will be a lot more after the expected increase due in Oct. We'll manage, but goodness knows how pensioners on the basic pension and various other groups will cope. What with all the other price increases, this is going to be a tough year for a lot of people.

Usual Friday wash day and we're expecting a Sainsbury's delivery sometime between 1-2pm.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon everyone.
We are just back from Sainsbury's having done the weekend shop.
Just about to take MrsC and her sister to see their Uncle Jim. They will walk back home. They are crackers, if that wind gets up we'll have to send a team of huskies out for them.
Our car needs a wash too Osc, it's filthy.
Our gas bill for November was £74. I'm thinking of having it framed because we won't be having another one like that for a long while.
Chilly here and it is supposed to freeze overnight.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, the sun’s shining but it’s bitterly cold and there’s a strong breeze.

Bill had his walk very early, John was cycling into work so was up earlier than usual so I thought I might as well get up and out a bit earlier too. The Tesco delivery came early as well, as in earlier than the booked time slot and took me by surprise.

Jen, it must be so worrying for many people mustn’t it.

I had a shock this morning when I looked at our smart meter display. There’s a glitch on our central heating timer which no one can clear, it means that the heating is set to be on all through the night from Midnight on Thursday until it turns off at its usual time of 7.30am on Friday. It’s not showing as being set at that but it happens every week and because it’s not showing as an actual setting it can’t be cancelled. What I usually do is click the thermostat down when I notice the light on it before going to bed but I was early to bed last night so forgot all about it and being so cold it stayed on all night. Anyway, the display is in the kitchen and lately in a morning it’s been around £1. Today it was £3.46, at 6.30am
I begrudge spending so much on fuel, especially when we know that the energy companies will be publishing their usual huge profits at some point.

Have a good day all :)
