Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 08 Apr 2022, 06:07

Good morning.

Stunning sunrise and forecast 24C. 8-)

Off for my walk shortly.

Back to shower etc then walk into town with Jackie for breakfast. Café con leche with a cheese and bacon pitufo. :D

Everywhere is getting ready for Easter (Semana Santa) next week and there is a tangible air of excitement.

These celebrations are massive in Spain and they happen to be my favourites so I'm looking forward to the community celebrating together, watching the tronos being carried and all the different parades. :D

When Jackie walked into arrivals last Monday she looked like an advert for Persil  she's now a lovely nut brown colour so no doubt will want to keep topping it up today. She's such a sun worshipper.

Out tonight for Friday beers and tapas with the gang, Jackie and Jacob. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Advert for Persil   How lovely to be going home with a tan, hopefully our weather will pick up so she can show it off when she gets home 8-)

Up early here getting my housework bits done. I want to get into town early, as D wants me to pick up a few bits for her, I am starting my sunbed sessions again for my psoriasis, and I have a 12.15 hairdresser appointment in Hucclecote which is several miles in the other direction. I’ll be getting the bus up there, then back again to drop off D’s bits and pieces. So a busy day.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Cloudy start again but I can see some sun over the Algarve hills, so hopefully won't be too long before it gets here. Was a reaaly warm afternoon yesterday, so hoping for the same today.

Cleaning this morning, then heading outside again, for more weeding Grumpy will be spraying the drives - I'm not sitting on my bottom again, weeding it ;)

Oh, and he's going to put the flamingo's on the pool wall :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all and happy Friday

Ally enjoy the day with Jackie and esp your Friday evening tapas.
Jan, hope you have warm weather - agree with Kaz, we could really do with some here
Kaz, hope you get everything done you need to

I'm about to head out to pick up a click and collect - desperately need chicken bedding and cat food and the shop I get it from doesn't deliver but thankfully kept their click and collect going. Other than that a usual / usual for me

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Good morning all.
A lovely morning it is too, all blue skies and sun. Not warm though. You are right Kaz, it would be so good to have some warm weather.
Your day sounds just wonderful Ally. Jan, flamingos! I've never done a click and collect Ria.
In a mo I'll shoot off and get a paper and pick up our prescriptions.
MrsC continues to improve but still no sense of smell. We should really have some tests in the house, I'll see if the chemist has some.
Someone else down the road has bought a puppy. Honestly, there are more dogs in this village than enough. They all seem to be either thoroughbreds or crossbreeds like cockapoos, cavapoos etc. Whatever happened to the old Heinz dogs (57 different varieties)? It's rare you see a mongrel now.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s a lovely sunny day but there is a bitterly cold wind. My brother treated us to breakfast out in a local restaurant, which was lovely, I always enjoy breakfast out. He has gone to visit a friend locally, Miss Osc is popping in with the children when they finish school at 12.00, then another friend is picking him up at 12.30 to bring him to her house for lunch. We are going dancing this evening, and my brother will be happy to sit and watch tv, we will be home well before 10pm.

I got burned by hot water last night when filling a hot water bottle, the water bubbled up and splashed me on the chest. A copious application of lavender oil helped a lot but I still woke up with quite a burn blister this morning, so I took myself off to the chemist who dressed it for me and I got dressings for the next couple of days. It was pretty sore last night but thankfully not painful today.

Afternoon all, it’s sunny but still quite chilly and breezy.

It’s day 2 of trying to dry the washing. Yesterday’s sunny day turning into a bit of sun in between heavy rain. I’ve washed bedding too this morning but that’s mostly dry now.

Joe had booked today off so that he could have an extra day in Cornwall. He left here a couple of minutes before 6am and texted me bang on 10 to say he’d arrived safely, he usually leaves straight from work which is on the other side of Stafford on a Friday lunchtime which slows him up a lot and travelling at that time adds around an hour onto his journey.

The Tesco order came earlier, I’m just waiting for DPD now but I know they’re due between 1.30 and 2.30.

Good to hear that Mrs C is feeling a bit better Crommers.

Kaz, you’ll have earned a cuppa after all of that running around.

Ouch Osc! Hope that heals quickly x

Ouch too Saundra, these bills hurt don’t they!

Have a good day all x
