Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 11 May 2022, 05:31

Good morning.

Sunny and hot and being by the sea there's a perfect breeze. 8-)

Yesterday was absolutely fantastic. I met my friends as they were sunning themselves by the pool.
Lots of lovely hugs and up to the hotel room where, waiting for me, were gifts of chocolate, sweets, magazines, books and perfume...the chocolate is now in the mini fridge.

The rest of the day was spent laughing, belly aching laughing  and the most fabulous meal last night.

After breakfast we're going to stroll along the coast into Torremolinos. I need to buy a new beach towel and I'm sure there's something else that'll tempt me.

Dinner is booked for 8pm. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny and another rather warm day.

Off to Ourique as soon as we've finished our coffee, to get everything done before it gets too hot. Need to go to the library, so that will be the last stop, as they don't open until 9.30 this morning. Pit stop for coffee and post box checking on the way back.

Salad will be on the menu for the net couple of days - I'm not lover of cooking when it-s mid 30's

Not a lot going on this afternoon, pool might be on the cards 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning everybody,

We have had rain. It is trying to brighten up. Will be going for the paper and then doing housework as it is too wet to go into the garden.

May do some washing as the basket is getting full.
Ally, We have stayed at Belamadnea and walked to Torrellomino along the front. On one trip , half way along my wife saw a lovely leather
jacket in one of the shops. It was a very good fit. I had to go back to the hotel for our credit card as we had not intende to buy anything.
Just had some money for a drink.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning you two, morning everyone else

Ally, have a fab day, will be interesting to read tomorrow what else managed to jump into your shopping bag :D :D :D
Jan, I know I haven't been online all that much - but your weather seems to have gone from cold and windy to summer more or less overnight. Hope you get everything sorted in Ourique and back home before it's too hot. As always regards to the folk at the bar
Cruiser your rain is heading our way I gather

A working from home day for me which is nice. Going to be super busy tomorrow in the office so making the most of today. Need to mow the back lawn before the rain starts and need to get to Sainsbury's for chicken veg and cat food; but that's about it. Trying very hard to not think too much about it as I really don't want to jinx it, but Thomas has his driving test today; so some VV vibes won't go amiss ;-) He's a really good driver and no reason why he shouldn't pass. As Nadine says even if he did fail, that itself isn't the issue - it's the fact that it takes anything up to 6 months to get another test date - THAT is the big problem! But alas, fingers and toes crossed for now

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, I was tempted out of bed by sunshine just after 7.30 to hang out washing - it’s raining now  :x It can stay out there! Edward is out washing the windows and front of the house, sometimes it’s good to do that when it’s damp and it’s mostly drizzly now. I have various bits and pieces to do, bring the winter duvet to be laundered, get a new battery for my watch, buy a Viennetta for tomorrow, Michael and Kellie asked for that instead of an anniversary cake. I also need to book a local restaurant as we’ll take them out to eat. I bought a dress in a local shop yesterday, I bought the bigger size but I think I’ll try the smaller one again and maybe exchange. Yesterday we checked in for our cruise wooohooo! I know it’s three weeks away, but we’ve a busy time coming up and it’ll be one less thing to do. Right, better get on with the general tidy around.

The joy of getting older and more forgetful

We forgot to take the container in to get petrol for the strimmers, then forgot the library

So this afternoon, we'll go back into Ourique, go to the library, get petrol and have a couple of beers on the way back.

Gobsmacked at how much and how many things have gone up in the supermarkets. 3 euros for cooking oil since last week, 2 euros for burgers and 30 cents for butter. So I didn't buy any of them.

Yes Ria, the weather has been weird this year and we're summer hot this week. Cooling down to more normal temperatures next week.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny right now, but I think rain's forecast for later this afternoon.

We got two walks in yesterday, the first round the close. Decided to see if E could bend his leg enough to get into my small car, he did, so after lunch I drove over to the cliff top for another stroll. It was a tad windy, but lovely to be able to breathe in the sea air. Even better it's all nice and flat, much better for my ankle, walking round the close is a trial with all the sloping drop curbs. Also there are lots of benches so if I can't keep up with E I can sit down for a while 8-)

Waiting in for a prescription delivery from Boots. Once that's arrived and providing it stays dry we'll be off out for another walk.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Well contrary to plans I had to go into town yet again, as someone who shall be nameless delayed trying on his holiday shorts and cut-offs until last night - only to find they no longer fit  :cute: I got him a few new pairs  Having lunch now, but will do some cleaning and change the duvets this afternoon, everything is packed apart from a few bits that need to go in last thing. Mick and Becky are taking Fraggle to his doggy holiday venue this afternoon. I'll do my fingernails tonight. We need to be away from here around 10am tomorrow.

That all sounds great Ally :D xx

Jan, that is too hot to cook! xx

We've had rain too, Cruiser xx

Ria I saw the good news on your other thread :D xx

Hope the wool arrives soon, Saundra :) xx

That three weeks will soon pass Osc 8-) xx

Jen that's great about E :) xx

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon all.
Well done E!
Just back yesterday from holiday. We had a lovely cottage right on the river Esk. From the window we could watch herons, ducks, swallows and occasionally see a fish jump.
There is something about a river isn't there? Very relaxing.
Thinking about booking it again later this year.
Just been to Sainsbury's.
Tbh I'd rather be back on holiday!
Have a good day everyone.
