Don't hesitate to get your own solicitors involved if he starts encroaching on your land or utilities.

Get a couple of shotguns and a clay pigeon catapult and have random "shoots" on your plot of land. Mornings, noon, evenings, any day of the week. Tell your other neighbours when, but not him.

Oh well, best laid plans

Whoever owns that particular parcel of land has the right of access, across our land, as it looks on paper, at least, that there is no other access.

However, he can only walk or drive across it. He certainly can't park his vehicles on there or dig trenches for his electric or water.

We can, however, put a gate across the top part, which is what we are going to do. If only to tidy it up a bit, and give Grumpy something to do.

He blocked us in yesterday, by parking his big van by our gate. If I'd have wanted to go out, or come in, I would have been very annoyed

I don't know how you do it over there, but here, I guess you'd be thinking in terms of a solicitor's letter.
