Productivity been in full swing...

Postby Ally » 20 May 2022, 11:17

...this morning.

All trip based.

Uploaded the Ticketmaster app to my phone and once I get notified the tickets are emailed I'll put them on. Guns n Roses ready!

Looking to get quite a few train journeys in when I'm over so checked out my Trainline app and then noticed I could get a senior rail card.

Cheap as chips to buy but my goodness what bargains to be had!

For eg. Nottingham to Motherwell is priced £93.10 but with the rail card drops to £61.40. :cute:

Nerdy Norma is very happy.

I've been thinking of treating myself to a new camera for a while and with the Madrid trip coming up I had a look on Amazon and boom! A new Canon is winging its way to me. :cute:

What a difference on the train ticket

I’m trying to sell my/our Green Day tickets for June. Longish story so might do a separate post about it.

I can't believe this!!

I'm going to Craig's on Saturday 9 July and the plan had been for him to drive up and collect me.

I've just paid £17.70!!!! from Motherwell to Nottingham.
£1.25 insurance.
59p booking fee.

Got a window seat, facing forward, table and power point.

It cost £30 for the senior rail card but I've got that back already and some just in this one journey!

Three people traveling with me will get 1/3 off their fares and if 4 kids want to come along they travel for free.

It's fabulous being 60.

It's madness.

This all started this morning as I was googling train prices from Nottingham to St Alban's Abbey as we're going to see Ed, Briony and their new baby (due two weeks today) and the prices were stupid.

It was only when Trainline mentioned rail cards that I realised at 60 I was eligible for reductions.

Quick photo and passport number later I'm now the proud owner of an online senior rail card.

That distance for £17.70???

It costs me £2.30 to get the bus home if I’ve got heavy shopping and that’s less than 2 miles

I know Jo.

Just googled and Motherwell to Nottingham is around 430 kms.

Conor's paid 50€ each way for us to Madrid but it is 530kms away and on the AVE.

Ally, it's good to know that you are getting good value from your senior rail card. That Motherwell to Nottingham fare is a steal.
