Speaking to Nuno this morning, he has to abide by the walking or driving only across it.

If he attempts to do anything else, we call the police. They will, no doubt, enjoy fining him again

We're just going to see how it pans out, if he starts messing us about, we will get in touch with Nuno again.

I'm also going to contact the people who sold the land and ask them what they told him about it.

I now have a neighbour who thinks he can do what he wants.
WEW had over two years of noise from early morning while they built an extensuin and altered the inside of the existing rooms.
I have reported him to the local council as he has erected a fence more then two mteres high at the back.
I have also removed the cable which supplied his interenet connection as it was on my property and obstructed me buiding a small wall.
I gave him written warning that I was going to do this.
I will not speak to him.
He has said he has had comeras put up at the front so he can record if I go onto his property.
He has also told another neighbour he should park his car on his drive so ther is more room to park his vans.
Nobody in the Crescent likes him.

So sorry to read that, Cruiser.
One bad apple and it changes the tone of the whole neighbourhood.

We were involved in a dispute with two neighbours across the road. One British, one French. The French person had bought the house next door that had a large field behind their house and access down a small lane which the British person owned.

The access was only for animals, on foot or with an agricultural vehicle to carry feed. The new owner started bringing his Taxi in there and using it for parking for multiple vehicles. Then he took down 20ft of hedge and the gate because it was difficult for him to put vehicles in.

He was looking to sell the land at the back for building as there was room for 3 homes. That was completely nixed and now he's selling the place and has offered the land, at a price, to my British neighbour.

It turns out that the only way to get rid of access, once it has been granted, is if you own that land yourself, modify the deeds then sell it off again.

It wasn't pleasant being mixed up in the middle. I don't envy you Jan. Good luck.

Thanks Suff, sounds like our situation. We could have bought the land, but didn't need it and who would, at 55,000. It's worth about 5,000 to 10,000 according to the locals.

We think the best thing to do is try and talk to him, explain the situation and take it from there. Grumpy not too happy about it, and I expect Brian won't be either.

I'll put a note in his post box, suitably worded, nothing inflammatory, asking then to meet us at the bar, to discuss things.

We'll let him put electric cables under the land, not over. It could detract things for David and Rita.

Sounds OK Jan. Just remember that this guy is likely to accept everything you offer then take even more.

I'd legally tie him in knots before offering anything.
