Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 02 Jun 2022, 04:49

Good morning.

Cool with a lovely breeze.

The above is a lie.

The past two days have been outrageously hot and today will be the same. We're in a valley that seems to trap any extra heat.

I'm off for my walk as soon as I've typed this which means my 10km will be finished around 8am before the temps start cranking up.

I bought a donut lilo yesterday which I'll be lying on in the pool.

Out tonight for cold beers and we're going to make a rough itinerary for Madrid. Don really fancies the Bernabeu stadium tour and is trying to convince me so will I.
It's only 90 minutes long so we'll see.
My nice wifey cap might go on.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sunny with a few fluffy clouds. The mist that rolled in at 6.30 lingered for about an hour, then rolled off again

I really must put those bulbs around the garden. I really really must put those flower bulbs around the garden  I'll do that after breakfast, then get the ironing out of the way.

Been binge reading Val McDermid books and am on my last one. Started it at 5.00 this morning  I'll finish it this afternoon.

I'd go in your place, if you want Ally. But you'll enjoy it :D

Have a lovely family day Kaz xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out but not as warm as Ally. Will be out in the garden when i have washed the berakfast pots.
Am recording Trooping of the colour so I can watch it tonight.
Have bought a small trifle to celebrate while I am watching TV. Shouldn't have it as it will put my blood/sugar level up.
But I am enjoying it to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a nice day here. Busy busy - off to dance practice this morning then we have our supervised antigen tests at 2.30 - fingers crossed! On the way home after that, we’ll call to say goodbye to Kellie as she wasn’t here on Tuesday. Then back to Howth to have an early meal as we hope to be in bed about 8pm. The packing is mostly done, needs to be weighed. I’m just popping up to the post office to get some small notes, forgot that yesterday. Hopefully by this time tomorrow, we will be well on our way to Italy :D

hello all and good morning

Ally, agree with Kaz re the pool. I feel for people that don't have one when it's really hot.
Kaz, have just the best time with Chris!
Jan, hope you get the bulbs planted
Cruiser, enjoy that trifle - a little treat every so often will be just fine I'm sure ;-) and as you say; not every day we have something like this to celebrate!
Osc, I didn't realise Italy still required antigen tests? I thought it was free travel throughout Europe now?

Well a very early start for me today. Had a friend fly back in from Cape Town, she landed just after 6. Her husband picked her up from the airport and they had a few hours to kill before meeting up with some friends before heading back home (they live in Dorset). So I invited them to spend that 'spare' time here and made them breakfast. Poor Sue, wedged between two people the entire 12 hour flight - one apparently constantly moving and fidgeting so she didn't get any sleep - it'll be a long day for her.

I'm going to spend a few hours at the allotment and some in the garden, but that's about it

have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy the pool Ally.
Kaz have a lovely time time with Chris.
Good luck with those bulbs Jan.
Enjoy your trifle Cruiser.
Fingers crossed for your tests Osc.
Saundra glad you had a lovely time with Scarlett.
Enjoy your allotment Ria.

We had another lovely time with the family yesterday. The weather behaved and they enjoyed a sunny time at the beach before coming to visit us before they set off home around 4ish. Not too surprising the two girls didn't remember us, it's been over 3 years, but they soon relaxed, especially with E, he's always been a big favourite with all the granddaughters. David was here last summer, he's certainly grown and is much taller than me. We got some great photo's in our garden.

Back to normal today, usual trip to Westwood Cross and M&S.

Hope you all have a good day xx

I did two bucket loads of bulbs :Hi: :Hi:

They're now all over the various flower beds, banks and there's still loads left over

I've already given some to Chris and Lucy, but they can have some more when they back and Jackie can have some too. Whatever plants I give to Jan dies, as she forgets plants needs water, so hopefully, she can have some too.

Big black clouds keep coming over  but really warm when the sun does come out.

Off to finish reading my book 8-)

Osc, hope all goes well this afternoon and you get away on time tomorrow morning. Have a great time x

Two negative tests, woohoo! Ria, this is for the cruise ship, although yesterday we did get a form from Ryanair, first time we heard anything about it - you had to confirm that if you tested positive while in the country, you were prepared to quarantine for the required period, and there was a box to tick if you had tested negative within 48 hours of travelling to Italy. Quite honestly, at some stage this testing has to stop, because you might not have Covid but could have flu, or a strep throat or or or…….

We’ve been for something to eat, and I decided to get a manicure, the benefit of living next door to a nail bar, they took me straight away. Settling in for a few hours of telly and hopefully in bed around 8pm.
