Hasta la Vista Baby

I can't say I was entirely comfortable with the way the media and his fellow MPs went about deposing Boris Johnson. He only had himself to blame for many of the charges they levelled at him but nevertheless It was a well planned relentless plot to get rid of him. Now it seems there are moves afoot from the Conservative membership to get his resignation letter rescinded.

There is obviously a feeling of unfinished business within the Conservative membership with talk from some about deliberately spoiling their ballot papers, but a reinstated Boris would be more of the same again and again and yet again, such is the determination of his enemies to finish him off, and I don't think the country could stand another two years or so of more of the same. However, I will be watching developments, if there are any, with interest.

I don't think that there will be any developments Meds.
Yes there was a relentless anti Boris putsch.
And it succeeded.
The spectacle of Sunak proclaiming his loyalty to Johnson is a bad joke, but he will get away with it.

Why does it take so long to elet a new Prime Minister.
Why does the Deputy not automatically get the job?
I am nor bothered who gets in the or she will only be there for two years.
Reading the paper this week, both italy and Germany do not have a very stable government and their finances are in a very bad state.

After 14 years of Tory Government, 2024 was Starmers to lose. It is still Starmers to lose and no matter who gets in the Tories are unlikely to win come 2024.

From what I'm hearing in the Tory party members, Sunak is a fully cooked Goose. Truss is favourite.

As for spoiling ballot papers, Tories are Much more likely to vote Truss and stick it to Sunak as a snake.

Why does it take so long? Boris has resigned, Effective from when a new Tory party leader is elected. He was appointed by the queen and has to resign to the queen. The tory party elections are two phases. MPs get their say first then, once whittled down to 2 candidates, the polling ballots have to be posted, filled out and returned for counting. This is normal. It is just the rabid foaming at the mouth Boris OUT at any cost, crew who need him gone immediately. They need to learn about due process.
