Good morning Tuesday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 09 Aug 2022, 05:18

Good morning.

Yesterday's traveling went fine and I checked into the hotel.
It's a Premier Inn and as I've experienced before, a good sized room and the comfiest bed.
I had a shower and immediately conked out.

It's the first anniversary of dad's passing today. :(

I'm shocked at how quickly it's gone.
I'm meeting my uncles Stefan and Stanley later and we're going up to Cambusnethan cemetery where I'll lay flowers at where mum and dad's ashes were scattered on my gran and grandad's graves.

Later I'm hooking up with my friend Michelle for drinks and a bite to eat.

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty among the hills and trees, but the sun is out and we're in for a warm day 8-)

Big hug Ally xx

Off to Ourique early, as we have a meeting with Nuno at 9.00 and then we'll do the shopping. Back for breakfast, ironing and pork stew making. That will be the last of the prep before the family come over next month.

Pool will be calling after all of that

Just for a change, salad and quiche for dinner

WM, when do you get your results?

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

It's a beautiful morning here, not a cloud.

Thoughts for Ally and family (((A)))

Jan, the results take ten days and I already have a review booked with the GP for the 25th. The whole thing only took 15 minutes.

Waiting in now for the delivery of my new worktop oven / grill. It's on the van but no delivery time as yet - I have to keep checking.

Have a good day everyone. Stay cool and stay hydrated.

good morning everyone :)

(((big hugs))) Ally - a sad day for you
Jan, hope you manage to get everything done - have you had to buy another fridge / freezer for all the goodies you're cooking?
Frank, hope the delivery slot is confirmed soon so you can carry on with your day.
Saundra, bits and bobs days are good to have - no pressure to do anything at a particular time

I'm in the office again today. Was in yesterday as well - not my usual day in but we had a new employee joining so I had to be in to set him up with everything. But given it's got lovely a/c it's actually not too bad being here - the journey home is probably the worst bit :D The rest of this week looks like another scorcher - so glad I'll be home to keep an eye on the animals.

Meeting up with friends for dinner on my way home tonight

Have a lovely day all xxx

Morning all, it’s glorious here. We had a lovely time in Wicklow, only one night but it felt like longer, with gorgeous weather. I actually swam in the sea - first time in Ireland this century! I put washing on the line last night and it was bone dry by 9.30 this morning when I went hang out more. I just love this weather. Edward has gone to play golf this morning and I have an 11am appointment for my cut and colour, can’t wait, I stretched it out an extra week to fit in with holidays and the grey roots are awful  Better tidy around before I go out.

Good morning everyone, and what a beautiful one it is.
((Ally)).
Swimming in the sea Osc, wow. We're off to Whitby next week and a discreet paddle with the trouser legs rolled up is as adventurous as I'll get.
MrsC has gone off with our son to town for a snack and a shop.
She is after a "bucket hat". I said she should just get a bucket, then she could stand the mop in it when it's not being worn.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

(((Ally))) xx
Salad for us too Jan, much too hot to be cooking.
Hope your delivery arrives okay WM.
Gosh swimming in the sea Osc, very brave, it's years since I've braved it here.
Bits and bobs is a good plan in this weather Saundra.
Enjoy dinner with friends tonight Ria.

Living dangerously Crommers

We were planning a walk, but Ramsgate high street is cobbled so my ankle isn't behaving well today. It will have to be a day in the garden, oh what a hard life

Stay cool and have a good day xx

Best laid plans and all that

By the time we got home, had breakfast and then discussed and sent an e-mail about these blasted trees, too late and too hot to do any cooking or ironing.

Brian is insisting that he hears from the forestry bods about cutting the trees. If we can't and we all know the answer will be no, he wants us to move our gate and some fencing so he can get a mobile home down the track or across our field. He's very kindly (touch of sarcasm creeping in here  ) allowing us to leave the electrics where they are, but wants the 10 metre access from the wall. So that means he will have about 13 metres for the rest of the access   And given that there are more trees in the way, it's a nightmare trying to sort it out.

Taking Jan's plants down to here later and we'll have a chat and I need her to ring the hospital for me, as my Portuguese is not up to it.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, sending you a huge hug ((((((x))))))

Sorry you’re having to deal with all this Jan, flipping nightmare :( xxx

Fingers crossed for the results Frank XX

Hiya Saundra :) xxx

Bet it’s absolutely roasting in London Ria :( xxx

Osc I like a dip in the Med, but crikey you’re brave :D xx

“Crash helmet for Crommers!” :P   xx

A day in the garden sounds good to me Jen :) xxx

It’s scorchio here! I am round at D’s for lunch, and Mick’s picking me up - it’s just too darned hot for my usual walks! My washing will be bone dry, but will have to wait for a cooler day before it sees an iron

Take care everyone xxx
