Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 22 Aug 2022, 05:45

Good morning.

One more week of 40+ temps then down to more sensible high 30s towards the end of next week.

A good long, hard swim first then will be using it for more relaxing purposes throughout the day.

We're having our new bed delivered today any time between 9 - 5. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Long trousers this morning  and a cardi  We have clouds and sun this morning, although the clouds were supposed to disappear at 7.00 ;) But that was being outside. Inside, it's back to shorts and t-shirt :D 37C for us today.

Bit of pootling outside before it gets too hot and washing will soon be dry.

Then not a lot. I've been planning on different plants in the garden. A huge white daisy bush has died, so I want to get something else in it's place and move other stuff around. Only in the planning stage, as the ground is too hard to do anything to it at the moment.

Can't wait until it cools down later this week and we can have something different from dinner, rather than think of some different salads. Having left over fish cakes, in butties, for breakfast 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend?
Ally love how you call 30+ temperatures sensible :D Here it was the apocalypse
Jan happy garden planning
Cruiser, enjoy the pootling day

Another usual / usual for me. Made a huge batch of bolognaise sauce last night so need to portion that off and get it into the fridge / freezer; got chicken muck to take to the allotment compost bins and a Sainsbury's run at some point - but that's about it. Office day tomorrow

have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a wet start to the day here. We were up early as our new mattress arrives today, so we had to strip the bed and get the old mattress downstairs ready for collection. It’s goodbye to our electric blanket too as apparently you can’t use one with a memory foam mattress - I’ll miss it :( Edward is taking advantage of the empty bed base to pull it out and give underneath a good clean. I’m off to the gym later and at some stage Michael and Kellie will be here for a few hours. We saw them yesterday and they all look great after their holiday.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Hope your new bed arrives as scheduled Ally, same for your new mattress Osc.
Also your parcel Cruiser.

Was up at silly o'clock, had an early hospital appointment. All sorted and back home for brekkie in good time. Nothing else planned, expecting a Tesco delivery later this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everyone - too many to deal with individually.

It is bright and reasonable warm after some overnight rain.

I have a council tax issue to sort out. I have four different bills for the same thing and all of them have calculations from God knows where. The first was the full amount prior to the government's £150 discount issued in April. The second (June) was with the discount taken off, which I paid in full. I now have two dated on the 18th and 19th last week giving me two amounts of underpayment. Doing my head in.

I also need new bedding as autumn approaches. It has to be 100% cotton and the only place doing decent quality at a price is Dunelm, so that's a drive out.

Enjoy whatever it is you intend to do.

Good afternoon all.
We had a wet start to the day, much needed. It's been warm since.
The child Eliza is due soon, so it will be Ceebeebies on the TV and no grandad beebies!
A salad for later.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, been busy busy busy all morning.

Now to relax for an hour or two before Joe gets home. We’re off to Old Trafford once he’s back, not sure if we’re actually going in or not, there’s a big protest against the owners planned before the match and there’s talk of a boycott leaving as many seats empty inside as possible. Then it’ll be the joys of the M6 on the way home. There’re overnight lane closures starting at 9pm tonight, near to Stoke. We could come the alternative route down the A34 or we could get off and detour around Stoke….but the highway planners have also decided to tonight’s the night to close the busiest road in Stoke which will push everything onto the A34. Once we get past all of that the two motorway slip roads that are nearest to us are both closed tonight too

Have a good day all :D
