That bit about Johnson is exactly what I told the party chairman.

In fact at least half of the current Tory MPvs have to go before I would consider voting for them.

I have never considered the Johnson to be anything other than a liar, cheat, imbecile and law breaker. The MPs had nothing to defend. He had to go and should not even be allowed another chance in this parliament having once resigned.

He might be good at PR but I would not want to work under him as my manager. He's a prat.

If the Tories are mad enough to bring him back the clamour for a GE will be louder than the cacophony that brought down the walls of Jericho.

Boris has said he will not be standing.

and the Guardian.

But what a pompous announcement he made.
Did he actually get 102 nominations? I guess we'll never know.

The best news of 2022. :Hi:

The haystack has pulled out of the PM election. Dry your eyes pin-up boy fans. What joy for the rest of us.

The bad news is that a(nother) backstabber will be anointed.

We need a GE.

It wass the only thing to do.
Even if he had won, most of his own MP's didn't want him.

So, Rishi Sunak.

The man who couldn't win by the rules, so the rules got changed. Undermined two Prime Ministers, Johnson and Truss.
And who says that he is going to "Govern with integrity". Perhaps he is being ironic.

Who is going to "Unite the pary". Lol, good luck with that.

Well, he is going to have to own what is coming.

The last time a finance minister coveted the PM slot and back stabbed his way to the role was hardly a success..

Ossie, I don't believe he had 102 backers. He wanted it, otherwise why come home early? "Not the right time" so he clearly thinks there will be a right time - nope, you're history mate, and good job too......He's a liar and a cheat, the UK deserves better.

78% of the country apparently want a GE - really that's what we should have, but it's down to the Tories and they're hardly likely to call one being so far behind in the polls.

A weel since a political journalist at the Dailly Telegraph received a text from a Conservative MP.

The text said:-
"Rishi PM. Hunt CX (Chanceller of the Exchequer). Penny FS (Foreign Secretary). And it's a done deal".

Isn't democracy grand? I suppose we'll see if that pans out soon.
