Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 15 Nov 2022, 03:19

Morning everyone

Rather dark, damp but mild this morning. More wet stuff for the day on it's way.

Up nice and early, as waiting for the police to come and listen to the dogs. Something they have to hear and see, if possible, for themselves. Can't just take my word for the darking bogs. He moved them last night but has left them near our house again and I've had enough - again  Can't believe the idiot is still doing this, having been told there is a hefty fine.

I have a small pile of ironing to do later and that will be my lot, apart from snoozing, if I can.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Blimey Jan, hope they throw the book at him. Have you sorted the access problems yet?

House hunting, most intriguing Ally.

Got up at silly o'clock to book my Tesco Christmas delivery slot. They opened at 6am and I logged on at 5.30, there were already almost 12000 in the queue ahead of me. All done now so will try to get back to bed and catch up on some sleep.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Ooooh, house hunting Ally - exciting :Hi:

Access still there Jen and just waiting to see what he wants next. He's bought yet more land and is keeping some of his goats and sheep there. The poor donkeys still have bare earth to munch on.

Sunny now, but more rain forecast and I'm heading off for a snooze after breakfast. Grumpy has just surfaced

Morning all, it’s a nice morning here. We’ll be off out in a while, we’ve got a few bits and pieces to do, and I want to look at shoes, I find it very hard to get nice attractive shoes to wear in winter as I have a bad bunion on one toe. Also Edward spotted something that might be a little birthday present for Michael whose birthday is next week so we will have a look at that. Yesterday we booked afternoon tea in a posh hotel in Dublin, Miss Osc gave Edward a voucher for it as a birthday present, thinking we might like to do it around Christmas time as we always have a Christmas day out in town. We’re going a few days before we go on our cruise to start the holiday off nicely :D We got some lovely news last night, Edward’s sister, the one who was widowed in May, phoned him to tell us that her son and his fiancée are expecting a baby in May - the wedding is at the end of August, so good planning! She also told us that a niece is expecting a baby in March/April, this girl is engaged also but I’ve never felt they will actually get married.

House hunting, Ally? Definitely intriguing. Jen, Edward saw the headline about Tesco on the DM and went on to the website - no problem over here, got a slot on the 23rd.

Morning all :)

Ooh a mystery, Al? ;) Good luck!! xx

Jan, bloody hell, not again??!! :x xx

Osc, that's lovely news :D xx

Glad that got sorted Jen! xx

It's tipping down here, so change of plan - we were going to do a bit more gardening round at D's, but because of the weather we're off to the garden centre instead. We need some winter planting, and Highfields is all under cover, allows dogs, and has a smashing cafe :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good afternoon all.
I have taken MrsC, her sis and her Uncle Jim to see Violet this morning, then drop Jim off at the doctor's for an appointment.
This afternoon we'll make a bolognese for later.
A dismal day here, raining and dark.
Good (House) hunting Ally.
Jan, you have something to put up with there.
Have a good day all.

Hello all

I started typing this morning and then somehow it's become 1.35????? Seriously the days are flying by!

Jan, did the police turn up?
Ally - come on spill the beans :D
Kaz, hope you enjoyed the mooch
Jen, well done you for getting a slot - I hear the site crashed and it was utter mayhem
Osc, that is such wonderful news - congrats to all the expectant parents

Another office day for me so nothing exciting to report. Wall between bedroom and lounge is down; unfortunately turns out that there was a purlin prop that no one was expecting so now need to involve a structural engineer for beam calculations and have a beam installed which is setting things back a bit, but hey ho not much we can do about that - needs must :D

have a lovely rest of day everyone x

Sadly not. There was an incident in Santana de Serra, so the patrol went there instead. I looked on prociv.

No worries, we'll pop in tomorrow.

Been raining, that lovely, soft rain, for most of the day :Hi: Had a couple of really heavy downpours and more to come tomorrow :Hi:
