My landline stopped working on Thursday evening. I only have it for incoming calls and free calls at the week-end.
I am with Virgin. An engineer came out on Friday about 12.30 p.m and did some work saying the landlinemwould come back on about 15 minutes after he left.
As it had not come on at 4.00 p.m I phoned Virgin again and I was told an engineer would be coming today.
My contract finishes in early December. They want to double the monthly charge. I have tried to negogiate a reduced monthly payment. But I have difficulty
understanding what they are saying.
So I may not renew the contract and will be without a broadband connection for a few weeks. I think Ria & Kaz have my email if anybody wants to contact me.
I will also transfer my mobile phone to a different system.
I keep telling the operators I speak to at Virgin that I am 88 years old and not very good technically. But they seem to think I have a degree in computer technology
and can understand their poor pronunciation.
