After more than a week of diagnosing and trying to work out why my Starlink LAN adapter doesn't work properly and keeps dropping out, we have determined that either one or both is faulty.
They have ordered both new for me, they will be here when I get back in Jan. They told me I could keep the old one's or do what I like with them. Well I fell over a guy in Ukraine who does Starlink repairs. So I'm going to send him both as parts with a note of the issues. Hopefully he can make use of it.
The SpaceX team have been really good to work with although I have provided them with professional level diagnostics as well from my side.
When my ticket was automatically closed I contacted the #2 person in the company and got a response within 2 hours. Call within 4 and at least 3 further contacts from the senior person asking if I needed any further escalation.
Hopefully it will be fixed now and, perhaps, twice as fast. The link from the router to the dish was twice as fast as I was experiencing on my side. Fingers crossed.
I estimate that it will cost me about £1,200 for 2023 but I will save around £5,000 on cheaper rent locations which do not have wifi or any Internet. We shall see..
