Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 07 Feb 2023, 08:02

Good morning.

I've managed to get a run in before the showers which are due around 10.
Rain is very badly needed so the forecast for showers today and tomorrow will be most welcome. :cute:

I'm looking forward to a day at home!

Reading and relaxing. :D

TV tonight.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Well, what do I say? Seven this morning, clear sky, eight, thick fog  Which is now going and leaving us with clouds and sun. More clouds than sun and it is not going to be a warm day  Rain forecast for this afternoon :Hi:

So a day for staying put and doing the ironing  After our hard work on the veggie plot yesterday - which is now weed free :Hi: - we both have back and leg ache, so the ironing will be a doddle  The veg plot, like most of our land, is on a slope, so you put more pressure on the joints

Out to Sonia's this afternoon for our hour of conversation and a couple of beers afterwards.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally and all :D

Had a lovely walk with Bill this morning, there was a beautiful sunrise and it was bright and frosty. My favourite kind of walking weather. We were back in time to see Joe and Amanda. Joe’s on a course at work this week so hasn’t got to be in until 9. Amanda drove over last night so Joe’s car was at her house, she’s not passed her test yet but bought herself a car and Joe’s now eligible to supervise her. The car was iced over this morning and she didn’t have an ice scraper. John and Tom had already left and Joe’s was in his car, so a plastic spatula had to suffice

Got an Amazon order coming today and I’ve got to pick up an M&S order this evening, get a birthday cake for Tom for Thursday and while we’re in that part of town I’ll go to the Lindt shop at MacArthur Glen and get him some Lindt pick and mix as a birthday present.

Hope the rain helps Al!

Have a good day all :)

Morning! :)

Hope you get the rain you need, Ally xx

Jan, hope you get the sun  xx

Jo, it is a beautiful day sunny and crisp :) xx

We're going out for breakfast in a bit, and most likely a walk round the socks as it's such a lovely morning :) Round to D's for lunch after that. I don't know if I mentioned Becky's plans to go out to Australia for a year, on a working Visa, but it came through and she's been looking at flights just to get an idea of costs. She's not going until the end of the year, was she needs to save up.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

There wasa lovely blue sky when I got up and it wasfrosty. But clouds have come over but it is still cold.

Kaz, a friend has gone to Austarlaia to see her son. She flies business class with Emerates. They pick her up at her door. She has to change at Dubai.
She says it is worth the extra expense.

Just pootling today Too cold to do any gardening. The lawn is in terrible condition.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning everyone

Good luck for today Vic, hope all goes well and you get the desired result.
Fantastic news for Becks, Kaz..... will be hard for you to let her go, but what an opportunity for her. And I'm sorry to be asking because I really cannot remember  ; has she got her driving licence by now?
Fingers crossed for the rain Ally, really hope you have some lovely gentle soaking rain, lots of it!
Jan hope your day clears up for you - take it easy today. If Grumpy has spare wood, what about making some terraces for the veg patch :D
Jo, I love weather like this - crisp and cold and clear.
Cruiser, my whole garden is in dire need of some tlc - I'm longing for a bit warmer days so I can get out there and get stuff done.

Well work in the office day for me today and the rest of the week; sigh - but I'll make up for it next week ;-)
Nothing exciting to report this end

have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s cloudy here but not too dull. Edward has gone to play golf, and I have a list to work my way through. We were to go to Miss Osc’s for dinner but she has come down with a tummy bug, so instead I will collect Kellie from school and bring her to her guitar lesson, then maybe bring her home. Luckily, SIL was able to work from home. Edward ordered his Nespresso coffee pods on Sunday and they are due to be delivered today. I’ll be booking flights and car hire for a dance break we have booked at the end of March - we had been interested in it as friends are going but it was booked out. But there were some cancellations during the week, so there we were sitting in a restaurant in Kitzbuhel on Wednesday, messaging our friends and the people organising the break, the miracles of modern communications! It’s in Skipton which gives me an opportunity to visit Brontë country, something I have wanted to do.
