All of November to the end of January was: Gas 177.18; Elec 344.47.

Most of the electricity was from the Energy Bills Support scheme (£400), then there is the £300 OAP winter fuel allowance to top-up.

Like it or not my energy bills this winter have not cost me, personally, a single penny.

February is going the same way and come March my bills will start to reduce. Some of us, who do not need it, are doing quite well out of the blanket approach, The help should have been targeted to those who realty need it, IMHO.

Saundra, that's what bugs me. Some people, especially those in rural communities who do not have gas and rely on oil got pennies, if that.

Wendy, my sister from another mother, and Malc have a tenant dairy farm out Gargrave way. They have no gas, except bottled for cooking, and rely on oil for heating. Help = zilch.

These are the people who should have been prioritised.

So far today we've used 17p worth of electricity. Highly recommending solar panels.

I was having an online chat with a friend in France last night.
By his estimation it will probably cost him 1,000 euros over winter to fuel his Raeburn stove (used for cooking and upstairs radiators) and his Burley stove.
The only gas they use is bottled, cost 200 euros a year. Electricity this year he estimates at 1,200 euros.

Didn’t know they were a thing, we’re with South Staffs and just have a normal meter.

No idea what our monthly costs are. Our gas and electric smart meters haven’t been sending data to the company. We get it on the IHD but the EDF app shows no readings received their end. There was a problem in December which they said was a widespread known issue, it then sent data from Dec 28th to Jan 5th and that’s when it stopped again, there’s been nothing recorded since.
