We read that a great majority of ex Trade Unions members and stewards are now Labour MP's.. This really doesn't surprise me.. Harman's old man conveniently gave up his top position to become a labour MP..By God how the money rolls in"!! As if one in the family isn't enough This fact has been kept very quiet, it shows the way these Red Flag Flyers infiltrate, just like woodworm. And now the threats mount, unless Milliband does as he is told or there will be no millions handed to him to fight the elections. They have got him by the short and curly's "do as we say or else."

I don't think Miliband can do the Unions' whole bidding even if he wans to Kate. There are newspapers out there just waiting for him to do that; at which point the papers will gleefully make the point that "he who pays the piper, calls the tune".
Electorally for Miliband to do what Len McCluskey tells him to do, would be very unpopular.

Other parties are bankrolled by big business or "Old Money" so I do not see the unions' backing Labour as being a problem, as such.

So long as they can gain some level of influence and power they will do whatever it takes. None of them care about who votes for them, or not, as the case may be.
