Good Morning Monday!

Postby Kaz » 27 Mar 2023, 07:08

Morning all :)

I think I’m still on Cyprus time as I jumped out of bed at 7am and started the holiday washing   There’s nothing like sleeping in your own bed :) Besides the washing today we need food shopping and will be seeing D this afternoon. She’s actually been fine while we’ve been away (we WhatsApp’d every night) which has been a relief :) I am fitting in a cuppa with Em this morning too, so busy, busy :D

Have a great day everyone :) xxx

Morning Kaz, Ally and everyone

Sunny but a little chilly. Warm later 8-)

Washing going on and should be dry before we go.

Off down to the Algarve this afternoon, to see the ye doc. We'll fit in some shopping, Iceland, C & A and shoe shops for Grumpy. He needs some decent sandels, as long as they're not more than 5€, apparently

Pit stop at the bar on the way home.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it is a pleasant morning here in Skipton. All went well with travel yesterday although the 4am start was not fun. However the hotel gave us an early check in as requested so we managed a couple of hours sleep before proceedings started. We only know two other people here so it has been nice chatting to and getting to know other people. Workshop this morning then we’re free until this evening, we’ll probably go for a walk before getting ready for tonight’s 60s night.

Good morning all, it’s sunny although quite chilly.

Bill’s had his long walk and I did the washing last night so that no time was wasted this morning in getting it out on the line.

Next up was a call to the vets. Bill has a great little device called a Vetpen for his insulin. A new insulin cartridge goes in weekly, stick a new needle on each use, turn the dial to seven units, stick the needle in him and press a button and it quickly and easily give him his dose. All done in two seconds.
These cartridges are now out of stock everywhere and that’s likely to be the case for four months. The vets have two cartridges that we can buy (two weeks worth, plus we have one unused still in the fridge) but that’s all they have, they’re obviously in the same position of not being able to get stock, then it looks like we’ve got to start using proper syringes which makes me very nervous, I don’t like syringes. It’s not the thought of sticking the needle in him but having to press the plunger down as well as hold him still.
Add to that, his food hasn’t been so easy to get recently and one of his eye drops (which are actually a human prescription eye drop) are also unavailable and have been for the last month.

Just some general cleaning up to do today and I’ll hoover Tom’s room - he tidied up in there last night and the floor is actually clear now

Have a good day all :)

Afternoon all.
A nice sunny day here; we still have that cool breeze though.
Welcome back Kaz! i hope the trip to the doc goes well Jan.
Jo, I hope you can get Bill's stuff.
I've dropped MrsC off at our son's and been to Sainsbury's.
Shortly to Aldi and then pick MrsC up.
We may go for a wander later.
Have a nice day all.
