Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 08 Apr 2023, 05:46

Good morning.

Summer temps at 31° today. 8-)

Going for a walk to Guadalmar with Don then nip into Mercadona on the way home.

After a hectic few days I'll be very happy to laze by the pool and read.

Chinese takeaway tonight and a film of my choice. Decisions. Decisions.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Bit grey and cool at the moment, but warming up later.

A rather quiet day for us, as although I thought it was really bad hayfever, it's a cold  I had all sorts of advice about "allergia" yesterday, so we had a hot toddy and went to bed early

Hvae a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Dull and cloudy, but it's dry, fingers tightly crossed it stays that way.

Hope you feel better soon Jan, have an easy day xx

We planned to get up extra early, but I set the alarm an hour later than intended. Z and co are on their way and we're only just having brekkie.........oops  Not too much of a problem, they're planning to walk down to the harbour, my ankle's extra sore at the moment so we'll get the bus and join them at The Pavilion for lunch.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everybody,

The sun is out but not as warm as Ally. Am doing some more gardening. Stilllots of weeds to get rid of and finish mowing the lawn. Want to get
ti ready as I have ordered some plants from one of the firms which deliver them to the door. Saves having to go and park and then clean the boot
as soil always seems to get on ther carpet.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s sun and cloud here and the sea looks rather grey. Edward is prepping sweet and sour chicken from a recipe we saw online. Later, I’ll make a trifle for tomorrow. I also want to pop down to the local market to collect my ring from the jeweller, it’s taken a while but I knew he was going on holidays. Otherwise not much planned for the day, Edward will be watching golf for most of the day, so I’ll do my jigsaw, read, and really should make an effort to finish the baby blanket I’m knitting for Edward’s godson, whose fiancée is expecting their first baby next month. Miss Osc and family have gone to Wicklow for the weekend and my sister is going there today to stay with them for the two nights.

Enjoy your time with the family, Jen!

Afternoon everyone :)

Getting hotter then Ally :D xx

Glad it wasn't your hay fever Jan, a cold will be over with sooner ;) xx

Hope you have a lovely family day Jen :) xx

Enjoy your gardening Cruiser :) xx

Osc I'll also be making a trifle for tomorrow - raspberry :) xx

It's a beautiful day here :D Went out for breakfast first thing, then spent a few hours round D's. Since getting home we've done some housework, and I've laid my Easter table ready for tomorrow - D and Chris are coming, so I'm cooking a leg of lamb in red wine, rosemary and garlic, with roasties and veg, plus the aforementioned trifle 8-) I need to start the base of the trifle soon, and the lamb needs to marinate overnight.

Have a lovely day everyone :) xxx

I got my ring back, he’s done a lovely job - he said it would last me another 55 years but seeing as that would make me 128, I think someone else will be wearing it by then  It feels so right having it back on my finger.

:D That's good, Osc :D I had to have my engagement ring stone reset recently, and both that and my wedding ring dipped as they are white gold. It felt very odd not wearing them :?

Just saw this....glad you're happy with it Osc.

When sis and I were together in November she went into a little jewellery shop to buy a ring she'd spotted in the window.

She also enquired about getting her engagement ring cleaned.

I looked at my platinum wedding band of almost 33 years and having never taken it off and suddenly thought I'd like to get it cleaned.

Come back in an hour we were told.

When we went back the wee man had my ring on the counter and I actually stopped dead in my tracks and declared, "that's not my ring!." :o

It was so gorgeous and sparkly I hardly recognised it.
