Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 29 Apr 2023, 04:58

Good morning.

Donning my trainers and off for a walk. There's lovely parks here and I can choose one a good distance away to get the kms in. :D

Back home to bacon and egg rolls. :D

Bob the builder (I kid you not  ) is nipping round late morning to fit the last of the blinds to Craig's house. I met him last summer when he was working here and he's really funny.

After two nights of frivolity we're staying in tonight.

Going to start to binge watch the Netflix Jeffrey Dahmer series and Craig's making spinach and chickpea curry with flatbreads. :D

I've contributed to make dessert.
I'll open the strawberry cheesecake I bought.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Rather cloudy and pleasantly cool this morning.

Done the pot and new plant watering and all is peaceful :Hi: Apart from the donkeys  ;)

Will be out in the garden after breakfast and then into Ourique this afternoon for a couple of beers. And it will only be couple, as the local police are really hot on drink/driving. We can pit-stop at the bar on the way back. No problems there

curry for us too, later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Have a good one, Jan :) xx

The sun's out today :) The usual Saturday stuff planned. I hope D is feeling better by the time we get round there later - I rang her last night, she was feeling groggy after her booster on Thursday :? Can I ask for some VV vibes please, my dear Aunty Rose is in hospital with Opthalmic Shingles, which sounds absolutely horrible :( I do hope she's better soon.

Have a good day everyone xxxx

Good morning everybody,
Dull but no rain. Still not warm.
Opthalmic shingles sounds horrible. Never had shingles but I do know people who have had them.
Had a phone call just after 7.30a.m from my son. He is coming to se me later. Wants a sandwich to take back with him on the train. Actually it is a long roll.
Freshly made with roast beef and horseradish on. Have also bought him a small cheese flavoured with whisky. He can have this tomorrow when he is at home.

Now going to have a coffee and tidy up.Has tobe spicka nd span when he comes.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, the day is changing by the hour - heavy rain earlier, then the sun broke through, now it is getting dull and looks damp. We had a brilliant night last night, and raised about €2,250 for the Ukraine/Ireland Dance Appeal. We didn’t dance much until later in the evening, I helped out on the door and with the raffle and Edward wandered around keeping an eye on things. There were about 70 people there and everyone was just so generous with giving over and above the admission of €10, donating raffle prizes and bringing along cakes and sandwiches. Above all, it was great fun and it was lovely to know that everyone was doing what they love while contributing to a great cause.

We were a bit later to bed than normal so are feeling tired - however, Edward is busy doing stuff in the kitchen and I’ll do the usual tidy around.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

Another day at the Beach House beckons. It was lovely yesterday, just enough gentle breeze to take the heat off a little. We stopped off at Just Grillin for dinner last night, will probably stop for happy hour at Surfside tonight and I'll do us omelette, bacon and beans for dinner, easy peasy.

Hope you're all doing well xx
