Good morning.
It was 41° sitting on the runway yesterday and although not as hot when I landed in Glasgow there was certainly no need for the Levi jacket I'd packed.
Within 80 minutes of landing I'd checked into the hotel and was having a pint of cider with my friends at dad's local.
This morning I'm going to Tesco first to buy some different bunches of flowers and some boxes of biscuits.
Meeting a friend in Café T for a cuppa and a toasted sandwich at 9.30.
My cousin Ivor is picking me up at 10.30 and first port of call is my lovely Aunt Maureen.
On to Cambusnethan cemetery to 'visit' mum and dad.
Next is Airbles Road cemetery for my gran's grave.
Pub lunch with Ivor.
He'll drop me back at the hotel where I'll collect the rest of the flowers and biscuits and visit Betty and John. (Mum and dad's next door neighbours.)
Then...if I can manage it... Merelin (she'd bought dad's house) has asked if I'd like to pop in and see her and her wee boy Oscar.
Merilin still keeps in touch with us on a Whatsapp group and only last week had sent some beautiful photos of Oscar playing in the garden.
Hopefully I'll feel that I can manage to do it.
After all that I'll go back to the hotel for a regroup.
Meeting some friends tonight for a few drinks and a feast at a Chinese restaurant.
I think that's my lot for the day.
Have a good one.
And I won't be missing the 43° that Don will be having today.
