Good morning Sunday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 23 Jul 2023, 04:46

Good morning.

Yesterday was such a perfect day. Being with Gez and Sharon, their five children (two who now have children of their own) and having known them all for 35 years just felt so lovely. I spent a long time chatting with Sharon's dear mum Rose who's 88.
It's so special to know and love such a great family.
We definitely need a heart emoji. :D

Today Jackie and Trev are taking me over to Kings Heath park cafe for noon where I'm meeting up with Don, Jude and Ed. :cute: :cute:

J and T will have a coffee with us, they'll head off for Sunday lunch leaving us to have time together.

When done Don and myself will be heading off to The Station to meet up with a load of friends. :D

An afternoon session  with some food thrown in is the plan.

Sometime later we'll get a taxi back over to Gez and Sharon's to enjoy our last evening here with them. :D

Gez is a really good cook and is making a Moroccan feast for the four of us. :D

Hope you all have a great day.

Morning everyone

Sunny start, but with a brisk breeze

New plant watering done, all talked to  but I think we've lost one of the new trees. No, I know we've lost one of the new trees. No idea why, was thriving, lots of new leaves, now brown leaves

No idea what we'll be doing today, see how the day takes us, although I have to do the black bean salad for the bbq later.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you'e doing xx

Good morning.
You seem to have had a lovely day Ally.
I didn't sleep well either Cruiser, might have a nap this afternoon.
It's still raining here but not as heavily now, plus it's much lighter - you wouldn't need to do any plant wtering here Jan!
The whole clan is coming for dinner today so we'll have a house full.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny 8-)

Busy day for you Ally, sounds fun.
Shame about the tree Jan.
Sorry you had a bad night Cruiser.
Enjoy having a houseful Crommers.

We both had a better night, but Ed's still turning a bit white and shaky when he walks round the bungalow, the physio did say it's going to take a while and not to overdo things. He's a bit frustrated because he was doing so well after his last hip op, and although he was warned knees are always more painful, it's come as a bit of a shock.

No roast chicken dinner today, wasn't sure what his appetite would be so we're just having a tuna salad.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all from a very wet and miserable Wicklow. Edward and Michael played golf in the rain yesterday evening - even with the wet gear, Edward got soaked right through to his vest :( their stuff is draped all over the house drying. We went out for breakfast this morning, it was dry when when we went into the restaurant, but guess what, raining again when we came out  Edward and Michael had planned to play golf again, but no point in this weather. Miss Osc and SIL seemed to enjoy the concert in spite of the weather, they had a nice meal out beforehand using a voucher we gave them for Christmas. They were planning on going out for brunch before coming home, SIL had suggested playing golf later but I can’t see them bothering in the rain. We’ll head home at some stage in the early evening.

Afternoon all, weather can’t make it’s mind up today.

Had a long walk on Hednesford Hills with Bill this morning, he was more than ready seeing as it was too wet yesterday. John’s off up the Chase on his bike shortly if it stays dry, or dryish.

I went to see the Barbie movie last night, on my own because none of this miserable lot would come with me :P What a fantastic film, the attention to detail is incredible and it’s not the fluffy children’s movie that you might expect. Tom’s now booked to do the whole Barbenheimer thing later, he’s seeing Barbie first and then Oppenheimer straight afterwards. He’s had to book for Telford as our nearest cinemas are sold out. We’re seeing Oppenheimer on Tuesday.

Joe and Amanda are camping in Cornwall, rather them than me - they’ve taken hot water bottles

Have a good day all :D
