We had notification from EDF of what our new monthly payments will be til Sept 2024 leaving us with a credit balance of £342.58.
I rang to double check this was right (India call centre I guess) and was told that the credit balance was £268.
So I said we would like £150 refunded to our bank ,no problem all done ,will take 3 to 5 days.
This was on Monday.
Now this morning have had a guy on whatsapp telling me that the credit balance is £342.58.
To say we are confused is an understatement.

That's why you should never pay by DD
Instead take your meter reading every quarter and pay the required Bill
And don't start me on indian? Call,centres

Exactly, Saundra.

Had I gone with what SP were quoting (£170 pcm just for gas) I would be over £1,100 in credit come the end of September. My electricity is on pre-pay due to landlord rules.

I do a monthly reading and pay it straight away.

And I never, ever, use phone apps for financial stuff. Power companies etc. have websites, and as I only use my home computer for payments it is as safe as can be.

And as for
As for there call,centre well there are no words :lol:
I'm now getting e-mail every week to get a smart meter so far if ignored them
