We have had a spate of car thefts in the last few weeks across the Vale (at least four) - and for some reason, they seem to be targetting Ford Fiestas!

Spent yesterday afternoon trying to clean my Nan and Grandad’s gravestone.
It’s white marble, or was until my Dad cleaned it with neat bleach. Now it’s rough, discoloured and porous.

He’d been obsessing about it being dirty so we said we’d go and do it. I took before and after pics to show my him and my sister and there was very little difference between the two.

First thing he said was that we needed to use bleach, even though he’d been told that bleach was the last thing that should be used
I fully expect him to head up there with his bottle of bleach this coming week.

He’s already talking about taking a shovel to lift Mom’s stone a little higher and putting some wedges underneath to keep it like that, because grass grows over the edges with it being set in the ground. If he does that it’ll be damaged when the grass is strimmed. Tom said he’ll be sectioned if he turns up at the cemetery with a spade  It takes two minutes to trim the grass with a pair of scissors.

I was convinced it was the 1st of August today and just started a monthly book thread thinking it was strange that Ally hadn’t

Lol Jo - Edward has a habit of changing the calendar a couple of days before the month changes. I got very confused yesterday looking at photos from last August! (Miss Osc gets us a calendar every year with family photos on it.)

Oh dear me, next door has a new tractor and all the gubbins. It's not quite as tall as him, but he's been playing with it all day. Up and down, walking pace

I think I’ve realised why I’ve thought today is the 1st. There’s been a bit of paper in the office on which Tom had written flight times for the 1st, he must’ve changed his mind and booked for today instead but my mind hadn’t realised that
