Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 13 Sep 2023, 06:36

Morning everyone

Pleasantly cool, with mist in the valleys but forecast 31C for later and lots of sunshine 8-)

Off to Ourique after breakfast, need some chicken wire (rabbits are now eating my roses  ) soil and then hitting the supermarkets.

Back to hopefully get rid of the lavender, then I can spray the little one's before we get rain possibly tomorrow, but definitely for the week-end

A couple of beers, sat admiring our handiwork later

Mitchell is off down to the Algarve this morning, to set up appointments for things that Beja Hospital couldn't/wouldn't do, so he's having to go privately for that.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out. it is 20C.
Am going to the bank to sort out a problem. Virgin have taken £40.00 out of my acount without telling me what it is for. I only pay £17.00 per month
and the contract only finishes in December. Had a long phone cal with a member of staff yesterday afternoon. But he would not give me any information.
Kept saying I had not passed the security system You would think I wastrying to steal a lot of money from the Bank of England.
Have written another letter of complaint. Am stoppingthe payment until I get a full explanation in writing.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning.
Another good one with lots of sun. Cold last night though, autumn is definitely on the way.
Bank security can be a nightmare Cruiser.
We are having the garage door mended today, if Kevin remembers to show up.
Apart from that not too much.
Tried to book a few days away next week only to find everywhere we usually go is pretty well booked up. Everybody must be thinking "We'll wait until September when all the kids are back at school".
Have a good one everybody.

Morning all, it’s a beautiful autumn morning here. I have a load of washing on the line, not sure how much it will dry though as there is very little wind. No real plan for the day, I’ll just see where it takes me.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

We had a heavy downpour yesterday afternoon, it only lasted about 20mins, no sign of the thunder storms forecast for our area. The temperature has dropped a couple of degrees, much more comfortable but still nice and warm.

Waiting in for a Boots delivery, they don't give am or pm so it could arrive anytime. If it turns up this morning we might go out for a walk.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Hello and good afternoon all - not sure where this day has gone!

Cruiser, I get why so much additional security is needed but it really is a nuisance sometimes.
Jan, hope Mitch gets the appointments sorted that he needs
Same as for most (well not Ally and Jan  ) it's definitely cooled down with a decided autumnal nip in the air in the mornings. This Friday and Saturday are meant to be a nice warm, but then I think we're heading to steady cooler temperatures.

Office day 3 of 4 for me..... I'm looking forward to Friday and not having to commute!

Have a lovely rest of day all x

I could only load two bags up, it's just too hot to be out in it

So I've abandoned everything, ready for an early start tomorrow morning.

Not heard from Mitch yet, no doubt I'll get a call from the bar "where are You? why a aren't you here?"

Afternoon all, it’s dry and sunny at times today after a day of non-stop rain yesterday.

I walked Bill first thing and soon regretted not wearing a jacket. When I checked my phone it said it was 8°, it’s around 18° now.

Just waiting for an Amazon delivery, it’s in Walsall at the moment.

Have a good rest of the day all :)

Afternoon all :)

It was definitely much chillier here, first thing, but by the time I went out, at 10am, it was warmer so I didn't need a jacket 8-) Met my friend J for a cuppa, then mooched a bit before walking up to D's at lunchtime. Had a lazy afternoon but am going to Zumba tonight, for the first times in aaaages  That will be interesting  :cute:

Love to all :) xxx
